It was a wild night at Rattlesnake Raceway this weekend. FALLON (July 23) – Rattlesnake Raceway had the prefect storm of multiple car cautions that made for a marathon night. This happened despite the best efforts of the track crew. Before things got rolling the track honored Jim Rains, who was a fixture there during the 1980’s and 90’s. Not only did he race but he built many cars that also competed at Rattlesnake Raceway. 95A Speedway has another night of hard racing as points are becoming very important plus one race that has an extra bonus for the winner. This week’s races at the 95A Speedway have many incentives for drivers as one was trying to score his first victory of the year, after a winning season last year. 95A Speedway was the scene of wild racing this past Saturday. Fernley (July 11) – 95A Speedway was spared flooding from the recent storms so was ready to go Saturday. Those fans in attendance got a wild night of racing that had something for almost everybody including an altercation between two drivers. After the dust settled in the caution filled IMCA feature winner Robert Miller was asked if he thought it would ever end. “No, but I’m glad it did. It was nice to have Alex Stanford to tow all they way up here and run with us,” he said.

At 95A Speedway track honors veterans that have given the ultimate sacrifice. Then the racing program began for the night. FERNLEY (May 23) – The 95A Speedway began Saturday evenings show with race cars parked on the front straight to honor veterans that either gave their lives for our country or have passed on. Then the cars did a couple of parade laps to put an exclamation point on the ceremony. Fernley (March 28) – The speedway here opened its season with an afternoon race this weekend. While some classes were down on cars the IMCA group fielded 22 cars for this heat races and main events. “The race was great even though the track was dusty. SHOOT OUT ENDS 95A’S SEASON
FERNLEY (Oct. 12) – The Fernley 95A Speedway ended its season with a two-day marathon at the annual shoot out. Over 100 racers were on hand and Sunday afternoon ended with the IMCA Modified feature that closed the track’s year. And the California driver that won was actually using the race to shake down a new motor. I-80 CHALLENGE AT 95A SPEEDWAY
Fernley (Aug. 28/29) – Highlighting the Labor Day weekend was the first visit of the I-80 Challenge series to the 95A Speedway. This meant two nights of high speed IMCA Modified action and both winners also used it as a tune up for the Super Nationals in Boone, Iowa. Both IMCA features were hard fought battles and a driver from Battle Mountain claimed Saturday’s victory. “We came over here as Cory (Sample) is going to haul my car to the Super Nationals.
