    TIEARNEY SWEEPS PROS AT MOTOCROSS   FERNLEY (April 12) – The spring motocross series ended here Sunday. And it was the first event put on by the newly reformed Old Timers chapter. Both president Jeff McCollum and Eric McElroy, with assistance from the Over the Hill Gang set the stage for a day of hard racing at the Sandbox, or the Fernley Lion’s Motocross Track.     Fernley (March 8) — Motocross is back! Last fall there was only one race after the plug was pulled on the fall series. Over the winter local Over the Hill Gang members rolled up their sleeves, secured use of the Fernley Lion’s Motocross track and started helping the Old Timers chapter come back to life. Now both clubs along with Tim O’Brien at the Livfast Exit 28 track have breathed life back into regional racing with the first event of a shortened spring season being staged this weekend.   • SPRING MOTOCROSS RACING IS ON

    Last fall SMRA pulled the plug on its fall motocross season. The Over The Hill Gang then took up the cause, thought they had a three-race series but that turned into a one-off race at Fernley. Over the winter the Gang has been working and is joined by the Old Timer’s Chapter so racing will return. Over the winter Gang president Layne Kolbet was able to secure use of the Fernley Lion’s Motocross Track, otherwise known as the “Sandbox.” And the club also helped the Lions when they were in need.   The Gang will host and stage the first
