The season rolls on with another action packed weekend of racing. Motorsports Preview for this weekend is full of various events to suit almost any race fan, not only in our region but nationally and internationally as well. Racing preview for this week is a buffet of different types of racing, live, on TV and the Internet. There is a varied menu for racing fans in this area with three different live events to fill the weekend. On Saturday afternoon the Northern Nevada Kart will bring down the curtain on their season with the annual night race at Desert Park Raceway. The Racing Preview this week has local motocross riders riding to help a local family with medical costs. Racing preview this week begins with a charity event put on by Livfast Exit 28 motocross track. Local racer Tyler Moore has an infant nephew that has already gone through one heart operation. And the baby needs another one so Saturday’s ride day will be a fundraiser for the family. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., there’ll be raffles and donations will also be accepted. This week local racing is a bit on the slim side but there still is one track in operation. Saturday, starting at 6 p.m. Rattlesnake Raceway, located just east of downtown Fallon, hosts another race featuring both the car classes and Outlaw Karts. It’s a big week for racing on TV as three major touring series begin their year while another stages the second round of its season. So TV will be crammed with action this weekend. Last Sunday was qualifying for the Great American Race, the 57th running of the Daytona 500 but only the front row was set.
