Another week of varied motorsports for the racing fan, including some in this region. One of the biggest events this weekend will happen at Livfast Exit 28, located east of Sparks. The track is hosting what probably will be the only night motocross this summer. There will be practice sessions on Friday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Then practice resumes at 3 p.m. Saturday with the first motos slated to start right after that, as they’ll race into the night. Fernley (March 8) — Motocross is back! Last fall there was only one race after the plug was pulled on the fall series. Over the winter local Over the Hill Gang members rolled up their sleeves, secured use of the Fernley Lion’s Motocross track and started helping the Old Timers chapter come back to life. Now both clubs along with Tim O’Brien at the Livfast Exit 28 track have breathed life back into regional racing with the first event of a shortened spring season being staged this weekend.
