Motorsports Preview for this weekend is full of various events to suit almost any race fan, not only in our region but nationally and internationally as well. THIS WEEKEND’S RACING – MAY 28-31
This weekend’s racing will be a little less frantic that it was on Memorial Day Sunday. But there still is a pretty good variety for fans to choose from. This afternoon there is a special event for youngsters. The AC/DC Bike Camp has demonstration rides at the Double Diamond Athletic Club. The goal is to sign up young riders for their Electric Trials Bike Lessons and it’s open to any one 6 years and older that can ride a bike. RACING PREVIEW OF A WILD WEEKEND AHEAD FOR FANS This week’s racing preview includes the annual classic on the Comstock, the Virginia City Grand Prix that kicks off the weekend. Saturday is for the fast guys and gals that race as Pros, Experts and Amateurs. As usual they will line up in rows of 10 and once again two head start positions will be auctioned off. RACING PREVIEW – MARCH 19-22
This week there is a traditional hybrid race featuring a cross between motocross and desert racing. It’s the 4th Annual Sandbox Grand Prix staged at the Fernley Lion’s Motocross Track. Saturday’s action begins at 12:30 a.m. with a race combining Women, 65cc and 100cc plus Vintage and Bomber bikes. Then the Pee Wees take to the track followed at 2:30 p.m. with a 90-minute team race for the Men, Women and Bombers.
