This weekend was a special one for two drivers and one family that honored one they recently lost. FERNLEY (June 4) – 95A Speedway had an interesting race this weekend. One driver achieved a mile stone, another won the big prize and both drivers as well as fans paid homage to the recently deceased father of a racing family. Memorial Day weekend is the biggest racing weekend of the year and a local track had two nights of action. FALLON (May 28) – Rattlesnake Raceway hosted a two-day show this Memorial Day weekend. 95A Speedway has another night of hard racing as points are becoming very important plus one race that has an extra bonus for the winner. This week’s races at the 95A Speedway have many incentives for drivers as one was trying to score his first victory of the year, after a winning season last year. 95A Speedway was the scene of wild racing this past Saturday. Fernley (July 11) – 95A Speedway was spared flooding from the recent storms so was ready to go Saturday. Those fans in attendance got a wild night of racing that had something for almost everybody including an altercation between two drivers. After the dust settled in the caution filled IMCA feature winner Robert Miller was asked if he thought it would ever end. “No, but I’m glad it did. It was nice to have Alex Stanford to tow all they way up here and run with us,” he said.

Rattlesnake hosts a night of cautions and carnage under an almost full moon. FERNLEY (May 30) – There is a long-standing superstition about racing under a full moon. Although it wasn’t a full moon Saturday, it might as well have been. And the fans at Rattlesnake Raceway, well they got a night full of action. 95A SPEEDWAY – COOL NIGHT, HOT RACING FERNLEY (April 24) – The Fernley 95A Speedway dodged a bullet as a passing storm spared the oval. So, despite the cool temperatures, the track was able to welcome back the BCRA (Bay Cities Racing Association) Midgets after an absence of several years. “The car was awesome and it just got better and better. FALLON (Oct. 4/5) — Rattlesnake Raceway ended its season with the annual Dirt Track Championships. However this year there was an unforeseen twist; rain canceled the scheduled date so the event was moved to the next weekend. Sadly many cars that planned to be there weren’t.
