95A Speedway has another night of hard racing as points are becoming very important plus one race that has an extra bonus for the winner. This week’s races at the 95A Speedway have many incentives for drivers as one was trying to score his first victory of the year, after a winning season last year. Lovelock Speedway second night for its Frontier Days races. Same speed, less dust and close finishes. LOVELOCK (Aug. 1): The second night of the Frontier Races at the Lovelock Speedway had a bit better weather than the previous night. There was a wind but the temperature was a bit lower and humidity higher, which helped keep the dust down. Not to mention the track had been worked on during the day.  Lovelock Speedway once again has two-days of racing to help celebrate the town’s Frontier Days celebration. LOVELOCK (July 31) – This small rural Nevada town annually celebrates its founding with Frontier Days. In addition to the parade and festival the Lovelock Speedway also has a two-day show. DWARF CARS REGIONAL HONORS FALLEN DRIVERS FERNLEY (May 1-2) – 95A Speedway hosted the annual Western States Dwarf Car Regional this weekend. Once again the race honored the memory of Dave Richardson and Leroy Kay, who both perished in a wreck racing accident two years ago. The event is two evenings of hard racing and some strong emotions. Fernley (March 28) – The speedway here opened its season with an afternoon race this weekend. While some classes were down on cars the IMCA group fielded 22 cars for this heat races and main events. “The race was great even though the track was dusty. FERNLEY (Oct. 12) – The Fernley 95A Speedway ended its season with a two-day marathon at the annual shoot out. Over 100 racers were on hand and Sunday afternoon ended with the IMCA Modified feature that closed the track’s year. And the California driver that won was actually using the race to shake down a new motor. I-80 CHALLENGE AT 95A SPEEDWAY
Fernley (Aug. 28/29) – Highlighting the Labor Day weekend was the first visit of the I-80 Challenge series to the 95A Speedway. This meant two nights of high speed IMCA Modified action and both winners also used it as a tune up for the Super Nationals in Boone, Iowa.
