  • CAR MEET & TOY DRIVE WEEKEND

    RENO, NV (Dec. 17) — This weekend there were two car meets in Reno. One was an annual event and toy drive while the other was the second-in-the-month with Reno Cars & Coffee. • Saturday began with the third annual Cars & Boba annual Toy Drive. The event benefits the Women and Children Center of the Sierra. This year’s event was blessed with great weather and the turn out reflected that.   • RPM WORKSHOP VISITS RENO – PART 1

    RENO, NV (Nov. 30) — For over 30 years the RPM Workshop has started its annual meeting schedule in Reno. This conference brings the short track racing industry to the Biggest Little City for two days of speakers and break out sessions aimed at helping promoters. Tuesday was an evening social gathering where attendees could pick up their credentials and meet other folks in the short track industry.   • TOY RUN SUNDAY AND SANDBOX RACES

    RENO, NV (Dec. 3) — This Sunday three groups come together to help youngsters in our community. To the east the newly restored Sandbox MX track held its first motocross Saturday. The biggest event Sunday was the 43rd annual Reno Toy Run was held and bike clubs of all kinds met at Reno Harley Davidson. This annual event is staged by the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs.   • NORTHERN NEVADA RIDER IS AN ISDE CHAMPION

    RENO, NV (NOV. 25) — This year’s ISDE (International Six Day Enduro) was held in Argentina. Americans filled the podiums and a local rider was part of the winning team. That rider is Austin Serpa, the Sales and Activation Manager at Carson City Motorsports.   • ENDUROCROSS CROWNS ITS CHAMPIONS IN RENO

    RENO, NV (Nov. 18) — The AMA Endurocross series ended its season at the Reno Livestock Events Center on Saturday. The event was the championship round for several classes. The afternoon was taken up by practice sessions and qualifying races for several classes. The evening program began with introducing the top pro riders.   • LOVELOCK AWARDS & SANDBOX REOPENS

    RENO, NV (Nov. 12) — Lovelock Speedway held its banquet and awards ceremony this Saturday. Over in Fernley on Saturday and Sunday the motocross track known as the Sandbox held its first official practice sessions. • LOVELOCK AWARDS: There was hardware to handout to the top three in six classes that raced at the track. The track had its first full season after being dark for the past couple of years. In addition to the trophies there were jackets for the class champions.   • RATTLESNAKE RACEWAY AWARDS BANQUET

    FALLON, NV (Nov. 4) — The annual awards banquet for Rattlesnake Raceway was held at the Eagles hall. Most of the racers and their family members showed up. After a nice banquet it was time to start celebrating the champions, top points earners and rookie of the year. First up were the Mini Stocks. Unfortunately the 2023 champion Kent Knisley was unable to be there. At season’s end Knisley had 770 points while second place Cooper Lee had 746 points.
