FALLON, NV (Aug. 10) – Nice mild weather greeted fans and racers at Rattlesnake Raceway this weekend. Despite a low car count the racers present put on a good show. This time the best was the last main for the Mod Minis as they put on the race of the night. LOVELOCK, NV (Aug. 3) – Every year this small rural Nevada town celebrates its founding with Frontier Days, which is a festival by the court house and a parade on Saturday. The town’s track, Lovelock Speedway joins celebration with the two-day Frontier Day Races. The result is usually the largest car count of the season as well as the largest amount of fans in the stands. On the track, to go along with the hot summer weather was some hot and sometimes crazy racing. After winning Saturday’s IMCA Modified race for the second year in a row Ryan McDaniel said,

AMERICAN VALLEY SPEEDWAY: DOUBLE HEADER QUINCY, CALIF (July 20) – This weekend American Valley Speedway ran the Gordon Peard Trucking double header. All classes had two nights of sometimes wild racing on this oval. There was an added bonus for the IMCA Modified drivers as the winner each night got to pocket $1,000. Needless to say there was some excitement on the track and turned Saturday’s main into a wild affair. FERNLEY, NV (July 13) – Summer’s heat and a strong wind were challenges when Fernley 95A Speedway began its latest race. Keeping the track surface moist and not dry kept the track crew busy during the heat races. Despite this the program continued and drivers gave the fans some good racing. When the 13-car IMCA field took the green Malen Gonzalez took off with Cory Sample and James Thibodeaux in hot pursuit. LOVELOCK, NV (JULY 6) – While the car count was less than expected on a money night the racing still went on at the Lovelock Speedway. Fans present were treated to good weather and some hot racing. After the IMCA main winner Cory Sample, who was appearing in this third race in as many days said, “It’s been at least over a year to be sure but it’s good to be back.
