SPARKS, NV (Dec. 4) – The annual banquet for MRANN (Motorcycle Racing Association of Northern Nevada) is a night to celebrate all the champions, honor special people, award scholarship recipients and sadly to honor one that was lost. As usual there were two sets of trophies, one for the Saturday racers, where the youngest and others race on short tracks. The other set is for the big bike riders that race on the long course. RENO, NV (January 1, 2020) –We’re still deep in the Re-Run Zone was we start the New Year, however Racing Preview shows there is light at the end of the tunnel. CAR MEETS: • Since it’s the first weekend of the month Reno Cars and Coffee will have its first meet of the year at the Kietzke Lane Starbucks. RENO, NV (Dec. 29) – The final car meet of the year came when Reno Cars & Coffee boss Lance Freitas decided to have it by Classic Rock Coffee shop. Good weather and the timing resulted in a huge turn out. As usual the range of cars ran from the ordinary to exotic and some were a bit extraordinary. SEASON IN REVIEW: MORE OVAL TRACKS
RENO, NV (Nov 25) — As the 2019 season fades in the rear view mirror it’s time to do a season review for oval tracks. This time I’ll focus on two tracks in Northeastern California plus two Nevada tracks, Lovelock Speedway and 95A Speedway. • American Valley Speedway is literally in the woods next to the Plumas/Sierra County Fairgrounds.
