  • RENO CARS & COFFEE STARTS THE NEW YEAR

RENO, NV (Jan. 3) – Reno Cars & Coffee took advantage of the good weather to kick off the New Year with their first of the month meet. Lance Freitas, who runs the group, estimated there were between 150 to 200 cars and trucks for people to see. In one area there was kind of a Corvette line with an Audi parked in it. There was also a 2021 C8 Corvette mid-engine with the hoods up to show luggage as well as the motor. One of the more unusual vehicles is an off-road rig, a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a

However there were enough events to crown class champions at the season’s end although for many races spectators weren’t allowed. Looking at the IMCA Modified ranks Ryan McDaniel earned the crown witeh 258 points while local Riley Simmons was second with 251 or a scant seven points. • SEASON IN REVIEW: NORTHERN NEVADA KART CLUB

RENO, NV (Nov. 29) – It’s that time again to take a look back at this unusual season so I’ll begin with the Northern Nevada Kart Club. This 2020 season was anything but normal although the club was able to get in all six races points it had scheduled. Due to the pandemic restrictions the originally scheduled rounds, April 19 and May 10 were canceled, actually postponed. Then in June the club was able to get its season rolling. Two events however were never reinstated as KPX canceled its season so no race here. Then the Mike Arnold Enduro, slated

It really depends on the time of the year and how many car shows they’re having. “A lot of it depends on what Reno and Sparks are doing. Reno is every

  • RENO CARS & COFFEE MEET

RENO, NV (Nov.15) – Reno Cars & Coffee held its third weekend of the month meet at the Del Real Pub and Grill on Sunday. Bright sunny weather with a nice breeze greeted those that attended. Variety is the theme of these meets. It varies from the two Mclarens to a fixed up VW Bug and everything in between. Much of the work on the cars has been done by the owners and hoods are raised to show off their handiwork with motors. For car people it’s almost like being in a candy store. Joe Medulla had his restored 1967
