    RENO, NV (April 7) — Racing Preview this week highlights an increase in racing now that the Easter Weekend is behind us. Helping things is some great spring weather. CAR MEETS & CRUISES: • The Fernley Main Street Cruise, from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday evening gets this weekend rolling. As usual the Wigwam is the assembly point.   • DIAMOND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY STARTS SEASON

    SUSANVILLE, CALIF. (April 3) — Diamond Mountain Speedway opened its 2021 season with a Friday/Saturday show on Easter weekend. Good car counts, fans in the stands were a positive sign for the upcoming season. Before the main events began there was an Easter Egg hunt on the infield. Dozens of plastic colored eggs were put out as youngsters from the stands and pits converged on the area. Many carried Easter baskets and on the signal the rush was on.   • EASTER WITH RENO CARS & COFFEE

    RENO, NV (April 2) — Beautiful weather on Easter Sunday set the stage for Reno Cars & Coffee meet. As usual the first of the month meet was by the Keitzke Starbucks and once again it was a large gathering. These meets area a great way to be around car people or just to see some good looking cars.     RENO, NV (March 31) — Racing Preview for this Easter week is light as most major series are taking it off. Still there are car meets, racing in this region plus some on TV as things take a short breather before getting rolling again.   • BACK AT THE SANDBOX WITH BBMX

    FERNLEY, NV (March 28) — Once again the Sandbox, or Fernley Motocross Track, echoed with the sounds of racing. Nice weather just highlighted the fist day of the 2021 season. Usually this race gets a large turnout however this time it was a bit more than anticipated. The reason was probably due to everyone wanting to finally back back on the track.     RENO, NV (March 21) — Reno Cars & Coffee moved it’s third weekend of the month meet to the Human Bean Coffee stand. Its located by the corner of Moana and Keitzke Lane, very close to the freeway and the turn out was massive. At these meets several will bring older cars, ones they give new life to.   • NORCAL STARTS SXS SEASON AT FERNLEY

    FERNLEY, NV (MAR. 13) — Norcal Rock Racing began its season with an event presented by California Custom Trailers and Power Sports. The even was for the SxS series and there was a good turn out and great weather. After a pair of heat races and some track maintenance everyone was ready to go. First on track were the youth classes and one group even had a 7-year-old driving.     RENO, NV (March 1) – American Auto Air and Repair has been around a very long time. It’s current owner Tom Rankin grew up with auto repair in his DNA. “I was actually brought up in a shop that my dad owned since I was a little kid,” he said. “I worked in my dad’s shop since I was 7-years-old every summer and every day after school.
