    RENO, NV (Feb. 9) — The Super Bowl is a signal that racing is about to start again. As usual off-road and motocross will get the season rolling followed by oval track and drag racing. • Next week MRANN starts its 2025 racing season north of the Nightingale Exit off I-80, that’s east of Fernley by the geothermal facility. Right now there are eight rounds slated for this year. Then two weeks from now Legacy Racing hosts its season opening off-road race the Parker Dam 500.   • AMA KICKER ARENACROSS VISITS RENO

    RENO, NV (Feb 1.) — The AMA Kicker Arenacross visited the Reno-Sparks Livestock Center this weekend. On Friday and Saturday the pros raced Rounds 8 and 9 of the 10-race series. The night began wish pros signing autographs then it was time for the show. First there were heat races, a B main as the field was set for the main events.     RENO, NV (Sun. 19) — Despite the cold morning the turn out was great At these meets there is something for almost everyone, including the kids. Different eras are also represented as well. Here is wonderful restoration of a 1941 Chevy Pick up parked behind a newer Corvette. Not far away this Blue Honda was showing the motor its owner spruced up. Then there was the BMW parked by a Porsche with a vintage El Camino at the end of the row. At Cars & Coffee meets variety in all around you. There was also the beautiful Honda Acura NSX.

  • NORTHERN NEVADA KART CLUB AWARDS BANQUET

    RENO, NV (Jan. 11) — Saturday the Northern Nevada Kart Club held its annual awards banquet. The site was the clubhouse at Arrowhead Golf Course. There were tables full of raffle prizes but the one many came to see and share was the table full of trophies. They ended 2024 and started 2025 with a bang, a road and some action packed short track racing.     SPARKS, NV (Dec. 22) – Three days before Christmas Sparks Cars & Coffee held its final meet of the month and of the year. Next time they meet it will be the second weekend in January 2025.
