RENO, NV (Nov. 23) — Well here we are, Thanksgiving weekend and virtually all, with few exceptions, racing and car meets have stopped. Next week this will change. But for now this will be short. CAR MEETS: • If all goes well, and the weather should be good, Sparks Cars & Coffee ends the month with a meet. As usual starts around 10 a.m. by the Starbucks off Disc Drive. RENO, NV (Nov. 16) — Here we are a week from Thanksgiving and as expected racing has slowed down to a crawl. However there is one event in our area plus another to the south as well as car meets to attend CAR MEETS: • Fallon Cars & Coffee gets the weekend rolling with a meet starting at 8;30 a.m. Saturday morning. RENO, NV (Nov. 9) — Fall is here and two motorcycle series end their seasons this weekend although there are still car meets. Over on the tube another series is about to end its season with two more having one more weekend left.  So that means we’re headed into the Re-Run Zone. Still  New Year’s isn’t too far away and series will be starting up again. CAR MEETS: • This Sunday is when Sparks Cars & Coffee has its first meet of the month. Time is 10 a.m. until noon and location is by the Starbucks located by Disc Drive,

RENO, NV (Nov. 2) — Well fall has arrived and major series are having their championship events. Here at home that are still car meets and even some racing this month as local series end their seasons. CAR MEETS: • Saturday the Northern Nevada Camaro Club is hosting an Apple Hill Cruise. First meeting point is at 9 a.m. by Summit Racing in Sparks. Then at 10 a.m. next place to meet them is at the Park & Ride in Carson City where Highway 50 and 395 meet. Then at 11 a.m. by the Ralleys in South Lake Tahoe.  

RENO, NV (Oct. 26) — Much going on this weekend, especially with Halloween on Monday. There is also a bunch more racing as well including the last oval track event in our region. But first something special.  DEDICATION: I’m starting this off with a dedication. Over the past few years Summit Racing Parts has published a great schedule showing cruises and other things. It came from the efforts of Judy Oppio, who created the calendar for the classic car community. RENO, NV (Oct. 19) — Fifth weekend of the month so things are a bit slim but there are a few things to see. Over the hill there are practice sessions, two races as well as a bunch on TV. CAR MEETS: • This Saturday the Nevada Jeep Club hosts its Fall Flex @ Bronco Canyon. Meeting is 3090 Bull Rider Drive in Reno. RENO, NV (Oct. 12) — A charity poker run for motorcycles as well as car meets fill this weekend. There are still races to be seen on TV and some Internet sites. CAR MEETS: • The weekend get rolling when Carson Cars & Coffee has a Trunk or Treat meet at the Carson Mall Shopping Center. The Mall is located at the south end of the City and north of the Rail Road Museum. Set up is from 6 until 7 p.m. and Trunk or Treating starts at 7:15. There are 5 trophies available for the best trunk. Good time
