WINNEMUCCA, NV (March 19) — Cool, cloudy weather greeted motocross racers as they opened the 2023 season for Battle Born MX. In the pits where were license plates from California, Nevada, Idaho and Utah as the turn out was great. For one 17-year-old Salt Lake City racer it was a grand and fast day. RENO, NV (March 5) — With the recent snowfall the Reno Cars & Coffee meet was one for those with 4X4’s. As expected, many of the regulars didn’t want to drive on the slick pavement. However despite the snow and slick streets, four showed up, including Lance Freitas in his red Jeep. One couple came drove a large Suburban while another couple came in a 4X4 pickup. FIRE AND ICE 100 STARTS SEASON FOR MRANN
NIGHTINGALE, NV (Feb. 19) — This weekend Trail Blazers MC started the 2023 season for MRANN. As traditional the Hare & Hound event was staged north of the Nightingale exit on I-80, which is east of Fernley. This season there have been some changes in MRANN and one of them was a new Pro Class for the Big Bikes. OTHG RENO HOST AWARDS BANQUET
RENO, NV (Feb 4) — The Reno chapter of the Over The Hill Gang (OTHG) held its award banquet this weekend. Due to a supply hold up certificates were handed out rather than trophies, which will be given out later. AMA ARENACROSS VISITS RENO
RENO, NV (FEB. 3) — The Kicker AMA Arenacross series visited the Reno Livestock Events Center this weekend. It was a three-day show but the pros only raced on Friday while the weekend was for the amateurs. The night started with a pit party where spectators could come down, walk the track then meet the riders and see their bikes. Many fans got autographs and had their checkered flags autographed.
