RENO, NV (Dec. 3) — Due to the length of the first part there were three interviews I wanted to include so it was necessary to split the article. This part first deals with a management change at a popular Northern California track.  The next interview is how live streaming can help short tracks. Finally the last interview is with an announcer for several tracks and why emphasis on youth helps the sport’s future.  With that in mind we’ll start with a track that is closest to Reno and has hosted races that many will look forward to. RENO, NV (DEC. 3) — This week the 49th annual RPM Workshop visited Reno. The annual event brings the short track racing industry to the Biggest Little City for two days of speeches, seminars, a trade show plus interaction between promoters.  Wednesday is when most get signed in or register for a social hour at the Eldorado where the workshop is held.   Starting on Thursday moderator Dennis Guage did a tribute to John Padjen, who used to promote several tracks in Northern California. RENO, NV (NOV.30) – The annual RPM Workshop brings the short track industry to the Eldorado Hotel and Casino for two days of sharing formation and ideas. Short track promoters and vendors have been gathering her for over 40 years. After welcoming the attendees RPM boss Stewart Doty turned the lectern over to Rick Murdock, Director of Casino Marketing. He welcomed everybody and stated how pleased the Eldorado is to host the Workshop as it helps fill rooms during a slow period. RENO, NV (Dec. 1) – After a two-year absence the RPM Workshop returned to its traditional home, the Eldorado Hotel and Casino in Reno. Two years ago, for a variety of reasons the workshop left for Las Vegas but now its back and this is the 45th edition. The was a full two days and began Wednesday evening with registration and a light buffet dinner in the casino. Networking and interaction between promoters, both veteran and new is the goal of these meetings. This time the Work Shop was dedicated to former Promoter of the Year and long time workshop
