RENO, NV (Jan. 25) — We’re about to head into February and this is actually a pretty big race weekend. Soon green flags will fly in our region however for now one needs to travel to see them live although TV and the Internet has a bunch. CAR MEETS: • Usually the fifth weekend of a month is a dead time but not so any more. The Fernley Car Meets will be happening every weekend on Friday and Saturday. RENO, NV (Jan. 11) — Once again weather is playing a big roll in what will happen this weekend. As a result this will be another short preview article. CAR MEETS: • Reno Cars & Coffee hit a milestone Sunday and Lance Freitas posted this. Good for them. They are supposed to have a meet Sunday starting at 10 a.m. and the location is the Human Bean Coffee stand by the intersection of Moana and Keitzke Lanes. RENO, NV (Jan.4) — Here we are in the New Year and racing is taking off again. More car meets plus racing on the Internet although TV is still mired in the Re-Run Zone. CAR MEETS: • Nevada Jeep Club gets Saturday afternoon rolling with their 2nd Annual Wine, Women & Jeeps function. Starts at 2 p.m. and the location is Whispering Vine Win at 85 Foothill Road in Reno. The women that arrive early are supposed to get a rose. • Sparks Cars & Coffee is scheduled to have a meet Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. by the Starbucks

RENO, NV (Dec. 28) — Well here it is folks, we’re ending one year and are starting the next year of racing and car meets. CAR MEETS: • Saturday is pretty empty but New Year’s Day has two car meets and a trail run. Best part is there should be a break in the weather. • Reno Cars & Coffee gets 2023 rolling starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday. RENO, NV (Dec.21) — Finally it’s here, Christmas weekend. For race fans that means green flags will start flying next weekend even though we’re still in the Re-Run Zone. RENO, NV (Dec. 14) — As we head closer to the New Year there is still more in the Re-Run Zone to be seen but every week puts us closer to when the gates will drop and/or green flag waves. CAR MEETS: • Saturday is going to be a busy day for car fans, and some motorcycle riders. Things get going at Moto-Source located at 3180 Mill Street, just east of Terminal Way. RENO, NV (Dec. 7) — Well the holidays are here and weather is headed our way. So this weekend’s events are subject to either a weather delay, being canceled or maybe being blessed with a nice break. CAR MEETS: • This Saturday, starting at 5 p.m. is the second Parade of Lights & Magical Fireworks Show up at Virginia City. It’s a great event but have to see if the weather Gods might get it postponed. • On Sunday, depending on the weather Sparks Cars & Coffee will host its first meet of the month. Starts at 10 a.m. and

RENO, NV (Nov. 30) — As we head into December there is a big weekend ahead for car and motorcycle groups. Looking at the TV, well we’re in the annual journey to the Re-Run Zone but take heart as racing starts right after the New Year. CAR MEETS: • Saturday gets going at 10 a.m. when Nevada Jeep Club has a meet at the new 4-Wheel Parts facility located at 5405 Meadowood Mall Circle. After the meet there will probably be an off-road cruise but the location has to be determined and I’m guessing the weather will be a factor.

RENO, NV (Nov. 23) — Well here we are, Thanksgiving weekend and virtually all, with few exceptions, racing and car meets have stopped. Next week this will change. But for now this will be short. CAR MEETS: • If all goes well, and the weather should be good, Sparks Cars & Coffee ends the month with a meet. As usual starts around 10 a.m. by the Starbucks off Disc Drive. RENO, NV (Nov. 16) — Here we are a week from Thanksgiving and as expected racing has slowed down to a crawl. However there is one event in our area plus another to the south as well as car meets to attend CAR MEETS: • Fallon Cars & Coffee gets the weekend rolling with a meet starting at 8;30 a.m. Saturday morning. RENO, NV (Nov. 9) — Fall is here and two motorcycle series end their seasons this weekend although there are still car meets. Over on the tube another series is about to end its season with two more having one more weekend left.  So that means we’re headed into the Re-Run Zone. RENO, NV (Nov. 2) — Well fall has arrived and major series are having their championship events. Here at home that are still car meets and even some racing this month as local series end their seasons. CAR MEETS: • Saturday the Northern Nevada Camaro Club is hosting an Apple Hill Cruise. First meeting point is at 9 a.m. by Summit Racing in Sparks. Then at 10 a.m. next place to meet them is at the Park & Ride in Carson City where Highway 50 and 395 meet. Then at 11 a.m. by the Ralleys in South Lake Tahoe.  

RENO, NV (Oct. 26) — Much going on this weekend, especially with Halloween on Monday. There is also a bunch more racing as well including the last oval track event in our region. RENO, NV (Oct. 19) — Fifth weekend of the month so things are a bit slim but there are a few things to see. Over the hill there are practice sessions, two races as well as a bunch on TV. CAR MEETS: • This Saturday the Nevada Jeep Club hosts its Fall Flex @ Bronco Canyon. Meeting is 3090 Bull Rider Drive in Reno. RENO, NV (Oct. 12) — A charity poker run for motorcycles as well as car meets fill this weekend. There are still races to be seen on TV and some Internet sites. CAR MEETS: • The weekend get rolling when Carson Cars & Coffee has a Trunk or Treat meet at the Carson Mall Shopping Center. The Mall is located at the south end of the City and north of the Rail Road Museum. Set up is from 6 until 7 p.m. and Trunk or Treating starts at 7:15.
