RENO, NV (April 12) — Well it seems as though spring might be here, hope so anyway. Even if it isn’t, we have a weekend full of racing and things ahead of us. CAR MEETS: • Saturday gets rolling at 9 a.m. when Fallon Cars N’ Coffee has a meet. Location is the Alley Bar at 1555 South Taylor Street. • Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. by the Human Bean Coffee Stand, located by Moana and Keitzke Lanes there is another meet. RENO, NV (April 5) — Well here it is, Easter weekend and there is plenty of racing going.  We have races in our region as well as some on TV. CAR MEETS: • Only one on tap for this weekend as, starting at 10 a.m. Sparks Cars & Coffee is meeting close to the Starbucks off Disc Drive. Should be great weather so hope they get a good car count. • On Saturday there is the 2nd Annual Brett G Palmer Freedom Run. RENO, NV (March 29) — Well March, which came in as a lion, is trying to leave as one. But this weekend we get a break as it is full of various events not to mention the fare on TV. CAR MEETS: • Things get rolling with the annual Off-Road & Motorsports Expo that is part of the Lockett show at the Convention Center. It started Wednesday and runs through Sunday. Great way to see off-road groups and some racing groups as well. • Sunday is a busy day for two groups. -Over by the Kietzke Starbucks, starting at 10

RENO, NV (March 22) — Well March came in as a lion and looks like it’ll go out with a roar. However green flags are about to start waving as well as starting gates and banners dropping. Yes, spring not only brings flowers but racing as well. CAR MEETS: • Fallon Cars N’ Coffee gets the weekend rolling with a Saturday meet. Times are 9 to noon and the location is The Alley Bar. • Sparks Cars & Coffee will host it second meet of the month at the Starbucks off Disc Drive in Sparks. These meets start at 10 a.m.,

RENO, NV  (March 15) — Finally a break in the weather, what a great time for the area motocross season to start. There are also some weather related changes in the schedules for several oval tracks. CAR MEETS: • This Sunday, from 10 a.m. until noon, Reno Cars & Coffee is having its second meet of the month. If the weather holds should be a good turn out and the location is the Human Bean coffee stand by the corner of Keitzke and Moana Lanes. RENO, NV (March 8) — More racing  and other things this weekend but incoming weather could be a factor. As usual there is more racing on TV and the Internet. Announcement: This Saturday we go into Daylight Savings Time. So be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour that evening, especially if you’re racing on Sunday. RENO, NV (March 1) — Well March has arrived kind of like a lion. Despite this week’s weather that will be two off-road races run this weekend and, maybe, a car meet. However what happens this weekend will, in some cases, depend on what Ma Nature sends out way. CAR MEET: • Reno Cars Coffee gets the month rolling with a meet Sunday by the Kietzke Starbucks. RENO, NV (Feb.22) — This weekend we take a short pause from local racing. So it’s a is a good time to preview the upcoming oval track season and events over the hill. There is also an announcement about a venue change for the upcoming Loretta Lynn Regional Qualifying races. CAR MEETS: • Only one car meet on tap this weekend and that’s when Sparks has its next one on Sunday. RENO, NV (Feb. 15) — This weekend we have a Jeep trail ride, a car meet and two major series racing on TV. In addition there is an off-road motorcycle race this weekend. CAR MEETS: • On Saturday the Nevada Jeep Club has the Eldorado Canyon Trail Run. Everyone gathers at the Squeeze in Carson City at 9 for breakfast then the group convoys out to Dayton. RENO, NV (Feb 8) — Last couple of days for King of the Hammers plus, depending on the weather, a couple of car meet as well as racing on the Internet. CAR MEETS: • Saturday, from 4 until 7 p.m. the Nevada Car Coalition is having a meet to help promote car clubs and grow the group. RENO, NV (Feb. 1) — On to another month and while there isn’t racing in our area right now that will change in a couple of weeks. There is also some live racing south of us as well as on TV and the Internet. CAR MEETS: • First weekend of the month means Reno Cars & Coffee meets from 10 a.m. until noon at the Keitzke Starbucks on Sunday. RENO, NV (Jan. 25) — We’re about to head into February and this is actually a pretty big race weekend. Soon green flags will fly in our region however for now one needs to travel to see them live although TV and the Internet has a bunch. CAR MEETS: • Usually the fifth weekend of a month is a dead time but not so any more. The Fernley Car Meets will be happening every weekend on Friday and Saturday. RENO, NV (Jan.4) — Here we are in the New Year and racing is taking off again. More car meets plus racing on the Internet although TV is still mired in the Re-Run Zone. CAR MEETS: • Nevada Jeep Club gets Saturday afternoon rolling with their 2nd Annual Wine, Women & Jeeps function. Starts at 2 p.m. and the location is Whispering Vine Win at 85 Foothill Road in Reno. RENO, NV (Dec. 28) — Well here it is folks, we’re ending one year and are starting the next year of racing and car meets. CAR MEETS: • Saturday is pretty empty but New Year’s Day has two car meets and a trail run.
