RENO, NV (July 20) — Another summer weekend ahead of us, one that has an oval track event plus a bunch of car events. CAR MEETS: • Saturday begins at 8 a.m. at Lampe Park in Gardnerville. It’s the 9th annual “Send a Scout to Camp Car Show,” and is part of the HAN Event Series. Awards will be handed out at 3 p.m. • Sunday has two events. CAR MEETS: • Starting Thursday in the west parking lot of the Sparks Nugget is the13th annual Rockabilly Riot. There are a host of things happening at this event through Saturday. • Friday evening, starting at 6 p.m. is another Fernley Main Street Cruise. RENO, NV (May 24) — This is probably the biggest racing weekend of the year. In addition there is racing as well as car meets in our region. The buffet table is overflowing and Mother Nature is going to bless us with good weather. CAR MEETS: • The weekend gets rolling as the first of 10 Thursday Cruznites gets going. It’s easy to get to as one goes north on 395 then turns west on Highway 70. The location is the Chilcoot Frosty & Goodwins General Store. There will be trophies and a nice way to start this long weekend.

RENO, NV (MAY 17) — Going to be a very warm weekend, one full of car meets, a cruise to Lake Tahoe as well as two oval tracks in action and a motocross. Not to be outdone, there are several events on TV as well as a major cancellation. CAR MEETS: • The biggest meet in this area is Hot August Nights Spring Fever Revival. CAR MEETS: • 775 Offroad and Recovery is having a 4X4 Show N’ Shine at Fuji Park in Carson City on Saturday.
