    Racing Preview for this weekend is still varied although various series are heading for their final events of the season. Racing is winding down in Northern Nevada but there is one local event this weekend. Livfast Exit 28 is hosting the third round of the spring motocross season. Practice is on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Then on Sunday gates will open at 6 a.m. followed by practice sessions with a hoped for 9 a.m. start to the motos.       Racing Preview has another varied menu even though racing is winding down. This week still has some local events, even though the season is winding down. And, of course there is still plenty of action on TV and the Internet. Locally the action begins on Friday night when Fernley 95A Speedway has the main events that were rained out last Saturday.     Racing preview for this week is a buffet of different types of racing, live, on TV and the Internet. There is a varied menu for racing fans in this area with three different live events to fill the weekend. On Saturday afternoon the Northern Nevada Kart will bring down the curtain on their season with the annual night race at Desert Park Raceway. Practice begins around 4 p.m. and after qualifying racing will begin as they roar into the night. Any championships that are up for grabs will be decided by the time the final checkered flag waves.     Racing preview for this week has something for just about every race fan. And one traditional event, not returned to its original venue is doing something special to honor the sport’s history. With Labor Day weekend here, one regional track is ending its 2015 season while another is continuing on. With few races left in the season points are becoming critical for many drivers.     This week’s racing has a mix of two- and four-wheel action in our region. The Fernley Lion’s Motocross Track will be in action as MRANN ends its spring desert-racing season.     Octane Fest brings color and speed to Fallon. The Octane Fest rolls into Fallon this weekend for three days and evenings of action packed motorsports. The biggest event in our area this weekend is the second round of the Over The Hill Gang Nationals hosted by the Reno chapter. Two days of racing, starting around 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, at the Fernley Lions Motocross or the Sandbox as it’s also known. And there will be the traditional BBQ after the races on Saturday.
