RENO, NV (May 19): As we head toward the biggest racing weekend of the year things are ramping up nationally and in this region. The only question for us is the incoming weather that will hit then be gone by Saturday.   CAR MEETS & CRUISES: • Summit Racing Equipment, located at 950 E. Glendale Ave. in Sparks will host another Friday cruise in. Things get going around 4 p.m. and hopefully the weather will cooperate   • There may or may not be Fernley Main Street Cruise on Friday. They haven’t let me know which weekends it will happen.

RENO, NV (May 12) – Racing Preview this week has much going on in our region including a special event and announcements. There are a bunch of racing happening across the country as well as overseas.   CAR MEETS: • Locally the weekend gets started at Summit Racing Equipment located at 960 East Glendale Ave., in Sparks. RENO, NV (May 5) – This week’s Racing Preview has a bunch of car meets, cruises and one that is special for the ladies. While the racing is slim there is one in our region plus motocross practice sessions.   CAR MEETS & CRUISES: •  On Friday Summit Racing at 960 East Glendale in Sparks is bringing back the Cruise Nights. Last year things got going at 5 p.m. with many cars cruising in and put on display.   • Fernley/Fallon Cars & Coffee, starting at 6 p.m. will have a meet at the Fernley 76th station on Main Street.

RENO, NV (April 28) – Racing Preview this time is full of events, from a special project, car meets as well as on track racing. The TV will also be full of various events to watch.   SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: • Reno Area Dirt Riders (RAD) is combining forces with the Hills Angels and Desert Pigs for a special project. This Saturday, from 8 until noon, they’ll be at Chimney Drive in Sun Valley.   There will be large dumpsters and everyone will be cleaning the public lands. RENO, NV (April21) – This weekend’s racing preview has more events including two area tracks that are starting their seasons. RENO, NV (March 31) — Racing Preview for this Easter week is light as most major series are taking it off. Still there are car meets, racing in this region plus some on TV as things take a short breather before getting rolling again. CAR MEETS AND CRUISES: • Once again the weekend gets rolling on Friday evening with the Fernley Main Street Cruise. It runs from 7 until 9 p.m. with the Wigwam being the meeting point. RENO, NV (March 13) – This weekend’s Racing Preview is full of events, both live and on TV with some on the Internet. RENO, NV (Feb. 1 7) – While it hasn’t been a full week of racing there is plenty this weekend. Racing Preview will highlight most of them. CAR MEETS: • There is an unusual meet Saturday starting at noon on Saturday.  It’s Mud Fest Spring and happens at the Chickadee Pits and there will be tug of wars, music as well as mud drags. RENO, NV (Feb. 10) – Once again Racing Preview is highlighting almost a full week of racing thanks to NASCAR. RENO, NV (Feb.3) – Racing Preview this week will be a bit shorter as I’m focused on racing and not on the Re-Run Zone. Yes it’s time for green flags to start waving and the 2021 season to get started. ANNOUNCEMENTS: • MotoMedX is a group founded by Reno Fire Department Captain Steve Clark. His goal is to get a group of trained volunteers that will help provide safety at motocycle races and rides.
