RENO, NV (Sept. 8) — This weekend’s Racing Preview begins with an announcement. As summer winds down there are less cruises but there still are car meets not to mention racing locally, regionally and around the world. ANNOUNCEMENT: • If you are planning on racing in the 50th anniversary Virginia City Grand Prix registrations are now open. In fact Fallon has two big events, Susanville has another and to the south Baja will echo to the song of racing.   CAR MEETS/CRUISES: • On Thursday, from 4 until 7 p.m., the National Auto Museum is hosting a Hot August Nights Show and Shine. RENO, NV (May 5) – This week’s Racing Preview has a bunch of car meets, cruises and one that is special for the ladies. While the racing is slim there is one in our region plus motocross practice sessions.   CAR MEETS & CRUISES: •  On Friday Summit Racing at 960 East Glendale in Sparks is bringing back the Cruise Nights. RENO, NV (April 28) – Racing Preview this time is full of events, from a special project, car meets as well as on track racing. The TV will also be full of various events to watch.   SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: • Reno Area Dirt Riders (RAD) is combining forces with the Hills Angels and Desert Pigs for a special project. This Saturday, from 8 until noon, they’ll be at Chimney Drive in Sun Valley.   There will be large dumpsters and everyone will be cleaning the public lands. RENO, NV (April21) – This weekend’s racing preview has more events including two area tracks that are starting their seasons. This week’s Racing Preview is full of racing, a car meet and some breaking news. Once again more series are starting their seasons while others are continuing.   BREAKING NEWS: • The news actually came out last week but the owners of the Wild West Motorsports Park have decided to close it down after nine years of many events. Sadly this news comes only a few weeks after the track’s 2021 schedule was announced.   • Another cancellation was the planned VORRA short track event this weekend at American Valley Speedway in Quincy, California. The group is looking for an
