SEASON IN REVIEW: MORE OVAL TRACKS
RENO, NV (Nov 25) — As the 2019 season fades in the rear view mirror it’s time to do a season review for oval tracks. This time I’ll focus on two tracks in Northeastern California plus two Nevada tracks, Lovelock Speedway and 95A Speedway. • American Valley Speedway is literally in the woods next to the Plumas/Sierra County Fairgrounds. It’s a nice fairgrounds track located on the east side of town. The season ends with the Timber Cup, which is the final points race of the season. This year the IMCA Modified champion was Chris Nieman, followed by runner up

SEASON IN REVIEW: RATTLESNAKE RACEWAY
RENO, NV (Oct. 28) — Now that the oval track racing has ended it’s time for the Season In Review. First track will be Rattlesnake Raceway in Fallon and the I-80 Challenge. Although, like other tracks, car counts were a problem at times the season rolled on with some good racing. Perseverance was the key in the IMCA Modified Class. Still want to wish all our readers a very Merry Christmas.) As usual MRANN (Motorcycle Racing Association of Northern Nevada) kicked off the season on the third weekend of February. The site was the traditional one located north of the Nightingale exit east

RENO, NV (Dec. 17) – As we say good-by to 2018 it’s time to look back at last oval track and drag racing season then start looking ahead to when the green flag waves in 2019. (REPORTER’S NOTE: There is a photo gallery at the end of this article showing most of the class winners from each track.) Four tracks are highlighted, four in Nevada and one in California as each are a bit over an hour’s drive from Reno. Those are American Valley Speedway in Quincy while the three Nevada tracks are Fernley 95A Speedway, Rattlesnake Raceway in Fallon,

OVAL TRACK SEASON REVIEW
Time to look back at this year’s oval track season as we get ready for the New Year and the 2017 season. The Oval Track Season Review highlights months of hard racing for championships. It was a season that saw a new series, a class coming back from near extinction, one track being brought back to life and maybe the departure of another. It certainly wasn’t a dull year. Topping the list is of achievements is IMSA racer Cory Sample. His year ended with at least three track championships, the Iron Man title, the western regional title and being runner
