RENO, NV (Jan. 18) — Looks like we’ll have good weather for this weekend. So there is a car meet plus racing on the Internet and TV. Spring is getting closer, which means more racing is coming. CAR MEETS: • Since it’s the 4th Sunday of the month, Sparks Cars & Coffee is having a meet. Starts at 10 a.m. by the Starbucks located off Disc Drive. RENO, NV (Aug. 24) — Here we are in the Dog Days of summer and there are still cruises to attend as well as racing in our region. Not to mention racing on TV and the Internet.  CAR MEETS & CRUISES: • Friday, starting around 5 p.m. is the final cruise-in this summer at Summit Racing Equipment. RENO, NV (Nov. 24) — It’s Thanksgiving weekend and most racing, except for two international series, has a time out. Despite the lull there are things going on car people and racers can enjoy.  CAR MEETS: • Saturday has both a meet and a cruise. Fallon Cars & Coffee gets the weekend rolling with their meet at Telegraph Coffee & Tap located at 1805 W. RENO, NV (Dec. 4) – Racing Preview for this week puts us deep in the Re-Run Zone. However there is an annual Toy Run and the NASCAR awards ceremony to watch in addition to the reruns. LOCAL EVENTS: • The big event here is on Sunday when the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs hosts its 39th annual Toy Run. This event will go on rain or shine.
