DESERT PARK RACEWAY – NNKC ENDS 2018 SEASON
STEAD, NV (Oct. 7) – Desert Park Raceway was the scene of the season’s final race for the Northern Nevada Kart Club. While the morning started off cold things warmed up and set the stage for a good day of racing. Three of the races went right down to the wire. For one young driver the day brought a victory he’s worked long and hard to achieve this season. The Jr. 2 LO206 main went right down to the final lap and to say the winner was overjoyed would be a complete understatement. “Tanner (Schultz) and Dehame (Malone) freight trained

RATTLESNAKE RACEWAY – CRUNCH TIME FOR DRIVERS
FALLON, NV (Sept. 8) – With two races left in the points paying season it’s crunch time at Rattlesnake Raceway. Especially for those trying to sew up the championships or those trying to improve their positions. This time around many of the regular IMCA Modifieds weren’t running as the Super Nationals were going on at Boone, Iowa. All IMCA tracks aren’t allowed to pay points until the Iowa event is over but next week they can. At that time the class championship will be decided between Andy Strait, who leads by seven points and second place Dave Sciarroni. The Hobby

The racing ends the fair weekend, which is just before the local schools begin their new year. After dominating the race, winner Scott Forman said, “I sort of figured these guys would be running me over sooner or later. The car handled good the first part of the race but in the last 10-laps it started to push a little bit. I figured I’d stay on the bottom and if someone is getting to pass on top they’re going to have to

LOVELOCK SPEEDWAY – AL MILLER MEMORIAL CHALLENGE
LOVELOCK, NV (July 28) – This year’s Frontier Day races at the Lovelock Speedway had an extra attraction, the Al Miller Memorial Challenge for Pro Stocks. A couple of months ago Al Miller passed away so his sons Robert and Randy decided to honor their father with a special race for the Nevada Pro Stock Association. It would be a very different race for the Pro Stocks as it would run double the normal distance and have twice the payout for the winner. Including money for the driver up front at the split. The night didn’t start out too well

FALLON, NV (June 16) – Nice late spring night set the stage for a night of racing at Rattlesnake Raceway. After a good start the IMCA modified was a very different race than was expected. Too many yellows that’s for sure and that’s never good when you’re leading. I’m just glad I’m feeling comfortable in my car again and its been a couple of years since I’ve felt that comfortable.” Then

QUINCY, CALIF. (June 9) – Before the annual 4th of July break American Valley Speedway hosted another points race this weekend.
