FERNLEY, NV (Aug. 11) – Fernley 95A Speedway not only hosted the Nevada Pro Stock Association but dedicated the night’s racing to the family of Chris Juhl, who was badly burned in a pit accident at Fallon on July 4th. Track owner Dan Simpson informed everyone at the driver’s meeting that all proceeds from the night would be donated to the family to help with their medical expenses. LOVELOCK, NV (July 28) – This year’s Frontier Day races at the Lovelock Speedway had an extra attraction, the Al Miller Memorial Challenge for Pro Stocks. A couple of months ago Al Miller passed away so his sons Robert and Randy decided to honor their father with a special race for the Nevada Pro Stock Association. There was some close racing and the Sport Mod class may have had the closest finish ever. When the green waved on the 15-lap main Tom Froggatt lead the charge with Brittney Nieman second.
