The Racing Preview this week has local motocross riders riding to help a local family with medical costs. Racing preview this week begins with a charity event put on by Livfast Exit 28 motocross track. Local racer Tyler Moore has an infant nephew that has already gone through one heart operation. Lovelock Speedway second night for its Frontier Days races. Same speed, less dust and close finishes. LOVELOCK (Aug. 1): The second night of the Frontier Races at the Lovelock Speedway had a bit better weather than the previous night. There was a wind but the temperature was a bit lower and humidity higher, which helped keep the dust down. Not to mention the track had been worked on during the day.  Lovelock Speedway once again has two-days of racing to help celebrate the town’s Frontier Days celebration. LOVELOCK (July 31) – This small rural Nevada town annually celebrates its founding with Frontier Days. In addition to the parade and festival the Lovelock Speedway also has a two-day show. This weekend Lovelock Speedway joins the town as it celebrates Frontier Days. Rattlesnake Raceway hosted a night full of carnage, cautions and hard racing. Fallon (July 25) – It was a wild night, at least for the cars at Rattlesnake Speedway this week. 95A SPEEDWAY – WILD RACING NIGHT
95A Speedway was the scene of wild racing this past Saturday. Fernley (July 11) – 95A Speedway was spared flooding from the recent storms so was ready to go Saturday. Those fans in attendance got a wild night of racing that had something for almost everybody including an altercation between two drivers. After the dust settled in the caution filled IMCA feature winner Robert Miller was asked if he thought it would ever end. “No, but I’m glad it did. It was nice to have Alex Stanford to tow all they way up here and run with us,” he said.

RACING PREVIEW – JULY 9-12
Another week of varied motorsports for the racing fan, including some in this region. One of the biggest events this weekend will happen at Livfast Exit 28, located east of Sparks. The track is hosting what probably will be the only night motocross this summer. Rattlesnake Raceway had to change its 4th of July plans due to Mother Nature. FALLON (July 5) – Rattlesnake Raceway had a first this season, a weather delayed race. Mother Nature threw a wrench into the July 4th race and fireworks that was scheduled. Heavy rains Saturday caused the track, after checking with the drivers, to postpone the races until Sunday. But the fireworks were set off later in the evening. Sunday dawned bright, clear and it was going to be hot when everyone arrived. Racing preview for this weekend has a mix of local and national events to see. Racing this week is a bit light locally but heavy on the TV and Internet side of things.
