FERNLEY, NV (April 17) — Norcal Rock Racing brought its brand of off road racing here this weekend. This round was Metal Cloak Wild West Shootout. BATTLE AT FORT SAGE – VORRA
DOYLE, CA (Nov. 2) – In its first Northern California off road event the newly reborn Valley Off Road Racing Association (VORRA) chose the Fort Sage OHV area east of Doyle. The title was the Battle at Fort Sage, a day full of speed in the desert, silt and dust. After Friday’s pre-running and Saturday’s registration as well as tech inspection, everyone was ready to go. SPARKS, NV (June 1) – Norcal Rock Racing Series visited the Wild West Motorsports Park east of Sparks for its second race of the season. SILVER STATE SHOWDOWN AT WILD WEST
MUSTANG, NV (July 21) – This year the Silver State Showdown at the Wild West Motorsports Park was a one night show this year. While things got off to a good start Mother Nature had other plans for the night. Before qualifying was finished there was a report of a lightning strike about a mile from the track. ENDUROFEST VISITS WILD WEST MOTORSPORTS PARK
SPARKS, NV (May 6) – Promoter Matt Musgrove brought his Endurofest back to Wild West Motorsports Park this weekend. Unlike previous editions this one had a bonus for the rider that scored the most points in four events. Sunday began with a Junior Enduro for the youngest riders and Caleb Bonneville won that event. The event was 45-minutes long with obstacles designed with the younger riders in mind. Bonneville was able to complete 13 laps while second place Chris Newell only had 12 and third place C.J. SUPERCRAWL 2017 VISITS WILD WEST
MUSTANG, NV (Sept. 24) – Supercrawl 2017 presented by Maxxis tires and Trail-Gear visited the Wild West Motorsports Park this weekend. MUSTANG, NV (Aug. 27) – The second day of the Lucas Oil Off Road Series event on Sunday was a bit cooler weather than the day before. Fans saw some good racing and a popular driver scored his first victory at the track, a place where Lady Luck hasn’t been too kind to him. MUSTANG, NV (Aug. 26): The Lucas Oil Off Road Series visited Wild West Motorsports Park this weekend for two days of fast, wild racing. Each day was a separate event in the series so Saturday was Round 9. One driver missing was Rob MacCachren as a family emergency had him turn around and rush back home. This final preview covers the 4-wheel off road racers that includes trucks, buggies and UTVs plus some others. This Season Preview is focused on the 4-wheel competitors as the motorcycles have already begun their season. There is an expanded event coming to our area as well as an addition to an existing event. Should be some great racing for the off road fans this year. Things get started this Saturday with a Mild to Wild Fund Raiser to benefit the Blue Ribbon Coalition. The group is an advocate for keeping public lands public. The trail ride starts at 9:30 a.m.
