RENO, NV (May 22) – Need2Speed, our local indoor electric go kart track is part of the new American E-Kart Championships sponsored by Monster Energy. Local tracks around the country are hosting a series aimed at selecting a local champion, who competes in the finals for a national title. Need2Speed general manager Matt Bowen explained what his track is doing as part of this series. “What we’re having here is us an about 15 other tracks across the country that aren’t related to each other are working as a team to develop this E-Kart association league,” he said. STEAD (MAY 20) – Northern Nevada Kart Club (NNKC) hosted its second point’s race of the season under almost perfect weather. The drivers responded by staging some hard fought races during the day. STEAD, NV (April 15) – The Northern Nevada Kart Club (NNKC) opened its 2018 season at Desert Park Raceway, the club’s home track. With 40 karts on hand everyone was ready to start the year even if it was a cool and very windy day. One class even introduced a new motor to the club. RENO (Dec 9) – The Northern Nevada Kart Club assembled at the Grand Sierra to honor its champions, hand out special appreciation awards and present one driver with the club’s top special award. It was a festive gathering and a buffet was served for dinner. The meeting began with outgoing NNKC President Brian Rivera thanking the previous board.
