RENO, NV (DEC. 1) – Despite the snow and rain two car clubs joined forces to help disadvantaged youngsters through the Children’s Cabinet. The clubs were Reno Cars and Coffee as well as the Old Slammers Club of Reno. The day started when Reno Cars and Coffee has its usual first weekend of the month meet at the Keitzke Starbucks. This time it was the 4th annual Toy Drive for the club. Due to the snow only a few hardcore members showed up but they brought unwrapped toys to be donated later. RENO, NV (Nov. 18) – The third weekend of the month means the latest meet by Reno Cars and Coffee. This time the location is by the Classic Rock Coffee shop located at West McCarran and Mae Anne. Mother Nature blessed the event with another day of great weather. These meets have a mix of cars from exotic to not so exotic. SPRING REVIVAL PLUS CAR MEETS
RENO, NV (May 10) – A sure sign of spring is the Hot August Night?s Spring Revival that visited downtown Reno this weekend. The Friday, Saturday event was blessed with decent weather, at least during the daytime. Winning the Best In Show was Mark Hain and his 1959 Rambler Cross Country Station Wagon. Asked why he chose this car he said, “It was the first car I remember as a child and I absolutely loved it. So when you become adult you have to revert back to your childhood. I decided I wanted to build one and here she is.”

SILVER BARONS MC HELPS CHILDREN’S CANCER FOUNDATION
RENO, NV (April 20) – The Silver Barons Motorcycle Club hosted their first Easter Basket Ride Saturday. The gathering point for donations was at Reno-Harley Davidson. Although not everything went as planned the event was a success and will lead to further charity functions like this.
