    SPARKS, NV (Nov. 23) — Sparks Cars & Coffee timed it perfectly, as the meet was between two storm surges. Even though the cool weather might have reduced the car count there were more than enough on hand. As usual there were a variety of cars plus some trucks.     RENO, NV (Nov. 3) — Light weekend due to no racing in this region but there were some meets on both days. The cool weather helped to keep the turnouts a bit on the low side but still there were enough that showed up. • Sunday began with Reno Jeeps and Coffee meeting by the Human Bean Coffee stand at the corner of Longley Lane and South McCarran.     RENO, NV (Aug. 18) — As summer winds down Reno Cars & Coffee had its second meet of the month. Still recovering from last week’s surgery but getting stronger every day and looking forward to reporting racing again. • On Saturday the Reno EVO Club met in the parking lot by the Keitzke Starbucks.     RENO, NV (June 16) – It’s Father’s Day weekend and several groups held car meets as well as staging cruises. Great weather set the stage for these meets. • On Saturday the Impalas Car Club of Reno had its Summer Jam Taco Truck Throwndown.     RENO, NV (May 5) — Three car groups had meets this weekend. Two were on Sunday, although this reporter was only able to get to one while the other was on Saturday, fortunately after the storm passed Reno. While the turnout was less than expected, probably due to the weather that passed over Reno, the JDM meet still two lines of cars.     SPARKS, NV (March 10) — Daylight Savings time began with Sparks Cars & Coffee having its first meet of the month. As usual variety was the theme as owners brought their cars and trucks to show and be admired. One combination was a BMW sedan parked by a Ford 150 4X4. It made for quite a contrast.     RENO, NV (March 3) — Two car meets happened Sunday, one had a modest turn out while the other was a non-event due to the weather. As a result this will be a shorter than normal article.     SPARKS, NV (Feb. 25) — Great spring like weather set the stage for this month’s second Sparks Cars & Coffee meet. The turn out was great and there some different types of vehicles present. One of them was the Back to the Future Delorean. It’s fully tricked out and makes quite a scene when its owner drives it on the street.     SPARKS, NV (Dec.24) — Despite the cold morning several cars showed up at the Sunday meet hosted by Sparks Cars & Coffee. As usual there was quite a mix of  of cars plus a van.     RENO, NV (Dec. 17) — This weekend there were two car meets in Reno. One was an annual event and toy drive while the other was the second-in-the-month with Reno Cars & Coffee. • Saturday began with the third annual Cars & Boba annual Toy Drive. The event benefits the Women and Children Center of the Sierra. This year’s event was blessed with great weather and the turn out reflected that.     RENO, NV (Dec. 3) — This Sunday three groups come together to help youngsters in our community. To the east the newly restored Sandbox MX track held its first motocross Saturday. The biggest event Sunday was the 43rd annual Reno Toy Run was held and bike clubs of all kinds met at Reno Harley Davidson. This annual event is staged by the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs.
