    Even though there’s not much racing going on there is a major desert event this week. RENO (Feb. 3) – The Racing Preview for this week is still sparse but there is some action to be watched. Locally Livfast Exit 28 Motocross Track should have its usual practice sessions from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. And a special shout out for two area drivers heading to Yuma, Arizona.     A little tighter focus on racing for this region as we get closer to spring.   (RENO, Feb. 1) It’s Oval Track preview time this week. We are blessed with seven of these tracks in our region. Most of them have their schedules already while at least two don’t have their full dates out yet. This year we’ll see two special series. This week’s Racing Preview is a mixed bag that contains the first major race in the country, TV and Internet as well as a serious part.     It’s the lull before the gathering storm as major series are getting ready to launch their series. Racing Preview for this week again is a bit slim as most things are TV but it’s the lull before the storm. This area’s 2016 season will start four weekends from now. While there is less than a month from the start of racing in our area there are two motocross races in California that area riders will be traveling to. Locally Livfast Exit 28 will host practice sessions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For those competing in the Bishop MX winter series there will be practice at the Tri-County Fairgrounds, gates open at 9 a.m. Most of the action will be on the TV this week.
