RACING PREVIEW: NOVEMBER 1 TO 5

RENO, NV (Oct.31) – Racing Preview for this week is a bit slim although there is still racing left for this season. As series wind down we’ll once again be heading into the Rerun Zone.

CARS:

  • The first weekend of the month means that Reno Cars and Coffee will have another of its Sunday meets. This one will be at the Kietzke Lane Starbucks.

It’s a great time to view some fantastic cars and the meet begins at 10 a.m. and runs until noon.

RACING (LOCAL AND REGIONAL):

  • For the first time in months there are no races in our area. However over the hill three motocross tracks will have practice sessions this week and weekend.

Over the hill Riverfront MX will have practice Thursday from 5 until 10 p.m. then from 9 until 2 p.m. Sunday. Prairie City has practice from 1 until 5 p.m. Thursday but is closed this weekend for a race as is the Arenacross track.

E Street MX Park is closed for a private session Saturday but on Sunday from 9 until 2 p.m. will have regular practice.

RACING (NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL):

  • In TV Land Thursday is a bit slim but at 2 p.m. NBC Sports will have NASCAR America then at 3 p.m. Fox Sports 1 has NASCAR Race Hub.

•    With two races to go before the championship weekend, the top three divisions of NASCAR are in Texas this weekend.

Friday gets going on NBC Sports at 11 a.m. with Cup practice followed by Infinity practice. At 2:10 p.m. the trucks qualify followed at 4 p.m. with Cup qualifying.

Then at 5:30 p.m. the Camping World Trucks race on the high banks at Texas.

  • Saturday begins at 9:30 a.m. when CNBC has Cup practice followed at 10:40 with Xfinity qualifying. Then at 1:30 p.m. NBC Sports will broadcast the Xfinity race.

Then at midnight beIN Sports has the MotoGP race from Malaysia.

  • On Sunday NBC Sports, at noon, has the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup race from Texas. It’s crunch time for those drivers wanted a spot in the championship round of the Play Offs at Homestead, Florida.

Not to be left out CBS Sports has Mobil 1 The Grid at noon followed at 12:30 p.m. by Formula Drift.
