RENO, NV (Dec. 6) – This week’s Racing Preview illustrates what this time of the year brings, not much competition but a whole lot in the Re-Run Zone. And there are two live award shows that will be streamed.
Last weekend even though it was cold three groups had toy drives to help make sure some kids get something for Christmas.
Chester’s Harley Davidson was the starting point for the motorcycle one, while both Reno Cars and Coffee as well as the Old Slammers club joined forces to get toys for the Children’s Cabinet. Apparently it was a success for each group.
Although racing has ended in our immediate area over the hill at the Prairie City track things are getting ready for the final round of the MotoPro Graphics Triple Crown series.

On Thursday vendors can park from noon to 4 p.m. and racers can get their spots from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Friday the gates open at 7 a.m. and practice sessions run from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday gates open at 6:30 a.m., practice begins at 8 a.m. with racing to follow.
For the other tracks, Riverfront will have Thursday practice from 4 until 9 p.m. then from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday. E Street MX Park has practice sessions from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on both tracks Saturday and Sunday.
Over in TV land things are pretty empty when it comes to live events but there is enough in the Re-Run Zone to keep about anybody happy.
Over on www.nascar.com this week they are running recaps on drivers in most of the series.
Thursday’s action is all on www.mavtv.com starting at noon with the Dirt 30 program, then followed by the Super Cup Stock Car series. After that there are three Lucas Oil events starting with Drag Boat Racing, Pro Pulling League and the Late Model Dirt Series plus some others.
Friday is well empty however www.fanschoice.tv is going to stream the awards banquet for the NASCAR Touring and Weekly series.
Fanschoice.tv will stream the Xfinity Series awards banquet on Saturday.

Fans Choice comes back on Saturday when it streams the Xfinity and Camping World Truck series awards banquet. These are up and coming racers that within a few years should be competing for the NASCAR Cup.

Over on TV once again MAVTV has a series of events they are going to show. The action begins at 9 a.m. with part 1 of the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Championships.
Following that are two hours of Pro Motocross followed by Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil Speedway Saturday Night racing.
Sunday also begins on MAVTV at 11 a.m. as they broadcast one of the Lucas Oil Off Road Series races from the Wild West Motorsports Park. Following that is Drag Boat racing and a Pro Pulling League event.
The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League will be one of the events shown on MAVTV.

Over on Fox Sports 2 at 1 p.m. they’ll show last spring’s Arenacross event at the Livestock Events Center.
Then at noon NBC Sports has two hours of the Motorsports Hour and one of those shows could be the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event from the fabled track at Knoxville, Iowa. Then at 2 p.m. the network airs Racer TV.
Over on CBS Sports they begin to show races at noon with the SCCA Run Offs. This year this event for class national championships was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Following that at 1 p.m. is an off road race followed by a World of Outlaws event and the day ends with another Lucas Oil Off Road Series race
Finally we here at nvracingnews want to extend out best wishes to those local riders competing at Prairie City this weekend.
