It’s another summer weekend packed with racing as we head for the Labor Day weekend.

Racing Preview for this weekend is full of events live, on TV and streamed over the Internet. There is something for about everybody.

Locally Livfast Exit 28 will host practice from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There also might be a race in Northern California but haven’t been able to locate that one.

For oval track fans the action begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday as the Lovelock Speedway hosts another of its points races.

South of there, Hawthorne Speedway announced it has ended its season for this year. They hopefully will be back next season.

Once again Gene Kay will be gunning for another victory in the Nevada Pro Stock Association series.

Saturday night the Nevada Pro Stock Association returns to action at the Fernley 95A Speedway. The racing begins at 6 p.m. featuring the car classes as well as the Pro Stock feature race.

Down in Feather River country American Valley Speedway in Quincy has another of its points races with a 7 p.m. starting time to the action.

Further east and south of Fallon the Top Gun Raceway will be a busy place Saturday. And things should get going around 9 a.m. that morning.

There will be the Round 12 of the Summit ET series as well as Round 10 for the Junior Dragsters. And there will be Street Legal drags as well as the 7th annual Mopar Invitational.

The Invitational begins when the other classes are finished and all models of Mopar cars are invited. There is a car show, plus special races for 6-cylinder Mopar cars and it all ends with a BBQ.

Across the Atlantic Ocean local motorcycle racer Alan Cunningham crashed and was injured while practicing for the Manx GP on the Isle of Man. While he’ll recover this is a set back in his efforts to qualify for the Isle of Man TT.

However the practice sessions, qualifying and races can be listened heard on the link in the schedule. Below is a schedule and remember to subtract seven hours from most of the times except those posted with PST.

Over on the TV there is also a banquet of speed to enjoy.

On Thursday CBS Sports starts things with a British Touring Car event at 4 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. by a race on the Isle of Man.

Also at 4 p.m. NBC sports airs delayed broadcasts first of a K&N Pro Series East race followed by a Pro Series West event.

Then on Friday, at 5 a.m. NBC Sports has Formula 1 practice as this series ends its mandated summer break. At noon that network will show the Sprint Cup practice from Michigan.

Saturday is a busy one with the Camping World Truck race from Michigan starting at 9:20 a.m. on Fox Sports 1. Then at 10 a.m. NBC Sports has Formula 1 qualifying followed at noon with the Xfinity series racing at Road America.

This week the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series is at Crawfordville and the first motos will start at 10 a.m. on MAVTV. Then at 3 p.m. NBC Sports will show the second motos.

Of course if you missed those they’ll be streamed on the Internet after the event on www.promotocross.com.

Finally at 6 p.m. NBC Sports airs the Indy Car race from Texas.

The Indy Cars will be on the oval at Texas this Saturday night.

Over on the Internet, www.fanschoice.tv, starting at 9:55 a.m. will have short track racing as well as two events from Virginia International Raceway.

Sunday starts at 4 a.m. as NBC Sports airs the Belgium Grand Prix from the wicked fast track at Spa. Then at 11 a.m. the network airs the NASCAR Sprint Cup race from Michigan.

Over on Fox Sports 1, at 10:30 a.m., is the IMSA Weather Tech Sportscar race from Virginia International.

Not to be left out CBS Sports again has a varied group of races to show. It all begins at 10 a.m. with the FIM MXGP event followed by the Blancpain GT Sprint series, then a motorcycle race and finally the afternoon ends with the a Lucas Oil Off Road event.
