Racing Preview for this weekend is still varied although various series are heading for their final events of the season.
Racing is winding down in Northern Nevada but there is one local event this weekend. Livfast Exit 28 is hosting the third round of the spring motocross season.
Practice is on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Then on Sunday gates will open at 6 a.m. followed by practice sessions with a hoped for 9 a.m. start to the motos.
Once more chance for local riders to compete.
With fall in full swing, and winter approaching racing on TV is intense as ever as there are championships to be secured.
On Thursday NBC Sports has a pair of taped delayed broadcasts. Starting at 4 p.m. it’s the K&N Pro West series from Roseville, California followed at 5 p.m. by the Whelen Modified series from Thompson.
This week the Formula 1 circus is in Austin as they gear up for the U.S. Grand Prix on Sunday. NBC Sports airs two practice session with the first at 8 a.m. followed at noon by the second.
At 11 a.m. Fox Sports 1 has a FIA World Endurance race.
Saturday’s coverage begins at 10 a.m. as Fox Sports 1 has the Camping World Truck race from Talladega. That evening at 11:30 p.m. Fox Sports airs the Moto GP event from Malaysia.
Sunday starts early, at 4 p.m., when MAVTV airs the World Rally from Catalunya, Spain. Then at 11:30 a.m. NBC Sports has the Sprint Cup event from Talladega, always an action packed race where anything can happen.
Also at 11:30 a.m. NBC will air the United States Grand Prix for Formula 1 from Austin, Texas.
Not to be overlooked is CBS Sports, a network that airs events from various racing series here and internationally.
On Sunday at 10 a.m. the network airs a British Touring Car event followed at 5 p.m. by another delayed broadcast of a Lucas Oil Off Road race.
Over on the Internet, www.fanschoice.tv the season ending race at Tucson will be aired this Saturday so the Internet is still rolling.
