SPARKS, NV (March 9) — Great weather set the stage for the month’s first meet with Sparks Cars & Coffee. As usual there were a variety of cars, imports, domestics as well as exotics.

There was a nice Corvette row with various models on display including front and mid-engine models.

Not far away was a 1964 Chevy Corvair whose original owner still has it. The car is so well kept it almost looks showroom new.

Over in another row was a beautiful T-Bucket. Kind of a reminder that as the weather improves we’ll see more of these around.

In another row there was a Lamborghini in fact there were a few and they added the exotic flavor to the meet. The one shown was parked next to a Cadillac.

For one owner the meet was a chance to let people know his car was for sale. In fact he was printing out the information on a small sign.
Asked about his car Michael Vierra said, “We’re looking at a ’34 Ford Tudor, completely customized. Ford Mustang front end with rack and pinion, Jaguar rear end, full custom interior. Has a 350 motor with TPI, Two Port Injection.
“Air conditioning, power steering, power brakes and power seats and a stereo system in it. Stainless exhaust going to the back, all painted and chrome bolts underneath it so the bottom looks just as good as the top. And she drives beautiful and has power windows.”
Asked why he wants to see it Vierra said, “Been in the family for many, many years and its just time to see her and get a new toy.”

For those interested the phone number he can be reached at is, 559-974-9290. He originally is from Fresno but resides in Sparks now. Finally after coming to Hot August Nights for 20 years finally moved here three years ago.

Getting back to the motors, a red Cadillac had an immaculate one on display.

Another good looking motor was in a white Camaro over in another row.
Next week is a double header as both Reno Cars & Coffee and Reno Jeeps and Coffee have meets on Sunday.
