RENO CARS & COFFEE PLUS OTHER MEETS

RENO, NV (March 2) — March has started and three groups started the month off this weekend. Fortunately the weather cooperated.

When the meet started there was this row of imports but if grew as time went by.

While the turnout for Reno Cars & Coffee was less than usual there were a good amount of cars. As usual there was a line of imports.

Vintage Ford 4X4’s were also on hand.

Close to the street three vintage Ford 4X4’s were parked together. They also had a crowd of people around them.

This group all sported spoilers.

Like many cars there were several sporting spoilers that also had people checking them out. In the background was the Human Bean Coffee Stand that had hot chocolate.

This red Corvette not only was the brightest car there but drew a lot of attention.

One car that got a lot of attention was a red Corvette Stingray. Both doors has been altered so they swung up and out rather than just out.

As it has a mid-engine the owner lifted the rear panel to expose the engine. And one can see the rear compartment for luggage.

• Not far away Reno Jeeps & Coffee had its first meet of the month. The location was at the Human Bean Coffee Stand located at the corner of Longley Land and South McCarran.

Nevada Jeep Club gathered and later had a bond fire. There was even a live band to entertain everyone.

• On Saturday, at the north end of Spanish Springs there was a gathering and bond fire held by the Nevada Jeep Club. There was a live band and looks like everyone had a great time.

This Tuesday, Trucks & Tacos meets at Chihuahuas Cantina & Grill.

• This week’s meet for Trucks & Tacos of Northern Nevada is at Chihuahuas Cantina & Grill. Address is 711 South Virginia in Reno.

The annual Virginia City Grand Prix is less than two months away.

• As many know the 54th Annual Virginia City Grand Prix will be held at the end of April. This year the Moto Mouth Mini Grand Prix will be run on Friday.

  • There is a major change this year. Pre-entries started this weekend and since entries may be limited be sure to enter early. The most important change is that all registration is on-line and no entries will be accepted on race weekend.
An opportunity for someone wanting to help the Fernley Sandbox MX track.

• For those that can operate heavy equipment and love motocross here is an opportunity for you. They need help keeping the Fernley Sandbox MX track in good shape.
