RENO, NV (Nov. 17) — After the pros raced for two nights the course was altered and the Amateurs to got their turn. As usual there are many classes and they ran a set of heats then mains.
REPORTER’S NOTE: While I’m including all the classes due to an accident was only able to stay for the heat races. As a result wasn’t able to stay for the mains but I’ve got as many pictures of the eventual winners as I could.
Starting the show is the Stacyc Class, they race small eBikes and two Northern Nevada rider scored victories. In the 12-16 group it was Ellis Tiearney while Jude Fye won the 18-20 group.
Next were the Micro 2 Limited (4-6) and Micro 3 (7-8) classes. Wyatt Otto won the 4-6 main.
In Micro 3 Limited for the 7-8 riders Ashton Etzen won while Tallan Smith won both the Micro E Limited as well as the Miceo Open Limited.
Next up came College Boy (18-24) and School Boy (12-17). The winner was Dane Morales, who races in the College Boy group.
The big winner of the day was Richie Gurley, who won in 65cc (7-9), 65cc Open, 85cc (9-12) and 85AX (9-15). He scored the most victories that day.
In the Women’s (12+) race Chloe Jakubowski was the winner. While the race was supposed to include 2 Stroke (14+) and Vet 40+) the heat appeared to be all women.
There were 12 riders in the 250C class but only 10 raced in the main. At the end the winner Brady Smith used his third and first finishes to win the overall.
While Richie Gurley won two of 65cc races Ava Richmond won the 65cc (10-11) class as well as the Girls (9-13) class.
Kenneth Owens won the Vet 25+ overall. Going down the age ladder Wyatt Otto was the 50cc Air Cooled (4-8) winner.
The Mini Senior (12-15) winner was Michle Smith while Caden Watt was the 450C (14+) winner. The Amateur All/Star winner was Holster Snyder.
Next came Schoolboy 1 (12-17) and the Vet Open. At the checkered Nathan Anthony was the Vet Open winner while Lucca Modica won the Schoolboy 1 (12-17) main.
Jesse Artau won the 250B (14+). In 85cc Beginner Aiden Griffin won the main.
Finally the Superminis had the honor of ending both the heat races and main events. Lucca Modica won both his heat and the main.
