RENO, NV (Dec. 18) — Reno Cars & Coffee had its second meet of the month. This time the location was at Muscle Motors and everyone was asked to bring an unwrapped toy.
The function was to help Ashlee’s Toy Closet and the toys collected will help brighten Christmas for a disadvantaged youngster.
Roman Labzov does a multitude of tasks at the show and explained what they were doing at this meet.
“I do a little bit of everything from finance to advance marketing and other things . This is our fourth, we stopped one because of Covid but it’s been pretty solid every year.
As the collection of toys we growing by one of the doors he said what they were doing with them.
“For the last two year’s we’ve taken them to Ashley’s Toy Closet. She an awesome lady, a local, who started from 15 years old. We like to support her.
“This is a hot spot for the car community as we have all the toys so we like to try to gather the car community then spread the cheer. Because all the car stuff started for me personally when I was a kid playing with little car toys so if we can spread the love from the car community to the children in our area we’re all about it.”
As usual a Reno Cars & Coffee meet is both a mix of exotic as well as contrasts. One group had a Porsche, Corvette and Pontiac GTO.
Not far away were two Chevy products parked together. The black Corvette is a front engine model and parked beside it was a 1955 Sedan.
The greatest contrast was a vintage full sized Jeep pick up parked by another front engine Corvette.
As for Muscle Motors, they had a row of several muscle cars parked in front of the building. There were also a few inside the building as well as more parked in the lot and all are for sale.

REPORTER’S NOTE: Since Christmas falls on the last weekend of the month there probably won’t be any Cars & Coffee group meeting on that day. So next week’s article will preview the coming racing season in our region. Right now most schedules have been posted.
