RENO, NV (Nov. 17) — Well here it is mid-November and there is still racing although not in our state. There are car meets as well as a special clean up this weekend.
CAR MEETS:
• Keep an eye on Carson Cars & Coffee’s Face Book page. They tend to have pop up events and might have one for Saturday evening.
• Since it’s the third weekend of the month Reno Cars & Coffee, from 10 a.m. Sunday until noon, will have another meet. The location is at the Human Bean by the intersection of Kietzke and Moana. There is usually a good grouping of many types of cars.
• There’s a special event starting at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday. Reno Area Dirt Riders (RAD) is teaming up with the Hills Angels 4X4 and the Nevada Off-Road clubs.
It’s the “Gobble Up The Trash,” event where they will be cleaning trash that’s been dumped in a certain area. The location is as the southern end of Klondike Drive in Sun Valley. If you have time might want to help them.
RACING & PRACTICE (MOTORCYCLES):
• The biggest event with motorcycles is the 54th annual Baja 1000. Things get rolling Thursday morning as the motorcycles and quads have timed starts beginning at 2 a.m.
Then at 10 a.m., after a ceremonial parade to the start line, the four-wheel vehicles have a timed start. The finish is at La Paz.
There is live timing and for further information please to go www.score-international.com.
We here at nvracingnews want to extend our best wishes to those from Northern Nevada that are racing down there.
