RACING PREVIEW: DEC. 17 TO 20

RENO, NV (Dec. 1 6) – We are well and truly in the Re-Run Zone for the next couple of weeks. This annual event will end on New Year’s weekend with a small explosion of racing events in our region.

CAR MEETS:

• Reno Cars & Coffee stages it’s second meet of the month this Sunday starting at 1e0 a.m. All types of vehicles are welcome and the location is at the Del Rio Pub and Grill on the west side of Reno.

PRACTICE (MOTOCROSS):

• MMX Racing will have two sessions this weekend. On Saturday hours are from 9 until 2 p.m. then from 9 until 3 p.m. Sunday on all of its tracks.

• REP Racing MX will have practice sessions on all three of it’s tracks.

     + E Street MX Park has sessions from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

     + Riverfront has a session from 4 until 9 p.m. on Thursday then from 9      until 2 p.m. Sunday using both the main and vet’s tracks.

     + Prairie City has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday but remember one must sign up online. The website is www.repracingmx.com.

RACING (NATIONAL):

• Once again it’s back to the Re-Run Zone and www.mavtv.com has a bunch of events they are re-running and it’s quite a variety.

• Thursday starting at 1 p.m. it’s the first motos from the Po Motocross series when the series visited Red Bud for the second time. Then at 3 p.m. they’ll show race #1 from Motoamerica’s visit to Road Atlanta.

At 4 p.m. Speed Sport is on then at 5 p.m. there is a couple of hours from the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt series.

• Friday it’s back to mavtv and at 1 p.m. the network has the 1st motos from when the Pro Motocross series visited the Spring Creek track. After that, at 3 p.m. there are a couple of hours of the now defunct Arenacross series.

If one wants to watch other racing check www.youtube.com as they have repeats of NASCAR and other series as well. A great way to catch up during the off-season.

• Saturday at noon mavtv has Lucas Oil Saturday Night racing followed at 1 p.m. with FIA Karting from Wackersdorf, Germany.

Then at 1:30 there are Monster Trucks followed at 2 p.m. with the ARCA Menards series races from Toldeo, Ohio.

• Although mavtv has a bunch of events Sunday the CBS Sports Network also has a bunch they are showing.

Things get going at 11 a.m. with two hours from the SCCA Run Offs. Then, after a break, racng returns at 4 p.m. with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series.

Then at 6 p.m. there are more SCCA Run Offs followed at 8 p.m. with more World of Outlaws and more auto racing starting at 9 a.m. to finish off the weekend.

• Assuming the host is feeling better Teresa’s Garage Radio Show will be live from 2 until 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. In the Reno Sparks area it can be heard over the air either at 1180 AM or 1160 AM.
