RENO, NV (April 9) — It’s definitely spring time with the weather bouncing around. That means more racing coming in our region plus on the Internet.
CAR MEETS:

• Thursday, starting at 8 a.m. is when the Iron Mafia meets at Kim’s Donuts & Tea house. Location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville. Photo courtesy – Rory Planeta.

•Saturday is when the Vintage Euro Cars & Coffee group meet. Starts at 9 a.m. and is at the Summit Mall next to Starbucks.

- The Koyote Kruisers will host their All Club Meet Up starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Location is the Winnemucca Events Center and the event runs all day.

• Sunday begins early when the Classic Chevys or Reno has it’s 14th annual Spring Swap Meet. Times are 6:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. and the location is Baldini’s Casino at 895 South Rock in Sparks.

- A little later Sparks Cars & Coffee will host its first meet of the month. Location is by the Starbucks on Disc Drive at the south end of Spanish Springs.

– Around noon is when Northern Nevada Muscle will start their cruise-in to the Sparks A&W. That is located on Baring Blvd. in Sparks across from Reed High School.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

• Lovelock Speedway starts the oval track season with a one day show on Saturday. Pit gate opens at 3 p.m. while the spectator gate open at 5 p.m. and racing begins at 6 p.m.

- To the south the Legacy Racing Association hosts the Battleground off-road races. Location is outside of Laughlin, Nevada. For further information please check www.legacyracingassociation.com.
PRACTICE & RACING (MOTOCROSS):

• REP Racing MX has a busy weekend at its tracks. Prairie City has open practice from 9 until 2 pm. Saturday and Sunday. The Sandbox MX track also has open practice at those same times Saturday and Sunday.

- Riverfront MX has a very busy weekend. Between open practice sessions and private ride nights the track will be a busy place this week.

• MMX Racing has its usual weekend practice schedule. Remember the Vintage track is only used on Sunday.

• This weekend E Street MX Park is hosting round 4 of the 2025 WORCS season.

• BBMX has made a change in its spring schedule, Round 4 is now at Prairie City.
RACING (4-WHEELS):

• Once again all the NASCAR races are behind paywalls. However one can see the highlights of each race on www.youtube.com.
• Friday, on www.mavtv.com, at 1:45 p.m. they show the Australian Supercars from Taupe.
Then at 5:05 p.m. the peacock network airs the IMSA Weatherteck Sports Cars qualifying from Long Beach.

• Saturday starts at 6:30 a.m. when the Peacock Network airs Race Day Live from Philadelphia. Then at 2 p.m. NBC broadcasts the next round of this year’s AMA Supercross season.

- At 2 p.m. Peacock broadcasts the IMSA Weathertech Sports Car race from Long Beach. A could were drivers have to be inch perfect as they race between walls.
• Sunday begins at 7:55 a.m. when ESPN @ has the Formula 1 race from Bahrain. Then at 8 a.m. Fox Sports 1 airs the NHRA Qualifying Show #2.

- At 1:20 p.m. Fox broadcasts the Indy Car race from Long Beach. Here again drivers must be inch perfect as they are racing between walls.
- Finally at 3:30 p.m. Fox Sports 1 has the NHRA race from Last Vegas. This is usually a 4-wide contest with these racers.
