RENO, NV (April 2) – Now that the latest storm is heading east looks like a great weekend for car meets and racing
CAR MEETS:

• Great way to start the weekend is to join the Iron Mafia for there Thursday morning meeting. Starts at 8 a.m. and the location is Kim’s Donut & Tea House at 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

• Saturday is the 4th annual Spring Poker Run at Weed Heights in Yerington. For further information please check, www.nvpokerrun.com.
• There are a pair of Car Meets that start at 10 a.m. to until noon.

- Reno Jeeps & Coffee meets by the Human Bean coffee stand located at the corner of Longley Lane and South McCarran.

- Reno Cars & Coffee meets by the Human Bean coffee stand located by the corner of Keitzke and Moana Lanes. Good freeway access.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

• While oval track season hasn’t begun in our region, tracks are getting ready. Rattlesnake Raceway has two days of test and tuning this weekend. Saturday is for the cars on the big track will Karts wil get their turn Sunday on the improved little track.
PRACTICE & RACING (MOTOCROSS):

• Big race in our area is when the Mason Valley Dirt Squirts host the next round of the 2025 MRANN series. It’s the Dirt Squirt Hare Scramble held by the Lovelock Speedway.
- Saturday is when the Pee Wees, Mini Bikes, Women an Bombers race. There are other events as well including Dirt Bike Drag races followed by a BBQ.
- Sunday is when the Big Bikes get their turn. Some race on a 18-mile loop while the fast ones in the second race have a 20-mile long loop.

• Here is this week’s schedule for REP Racing MX. Riverfront MX only has practice Sunday while Prairie City has Sierra Old Timers ride day Saturday and open practice.
- The Sandbox MX in Fernley from 9 until 2 p.m. hosts a Reno OTHG ride day Saturday. Then from 9 until 2 p.m. has open practice Sunday.

• E Street MX Park has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

• MMX Racing has a full schedule of practice this weekend. Sunday is when the Vintage track gets added to the mix.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL):

• Once again the NASCAR races are behind Pay Walls. However one can view highlights on www.youtube.com.

• This weekend many off-road racers are headed to Mexico. The reason is to compete in the 38th annual SCORE San Felipe 250 race.
Qualifying begins Thursday while Saturday is race day. For further information and live stream please check, www.score-international.com.
• Thursday at 7:25 p.m. ESPN+ has Formula 1 Practice #1 from Suzuka, Japan. Then at 10:55 p.m. ESPN 2 has the Formula 1 practice #2.
• Friday at 7:25 p.m. ESPN+ has Formula 1 Practice #3. Then at 10:55 p.m. ESPN 2 has Formula 1 qualifying.

• On Saturday the Peacock network at 9:30 will air Race Day Live. Then at 4 p.m. the network airs round 12 of the AMA Supercross series from Foxborough, Mass.
- Then at 10:55 ESPN will broadcast the Grand Prix of Japan from Suzuka. If you miss this then check You Tube for the highlights.
- The weekend ends when the NASCAR Cup teams race at Darlington, also known as the Track Too Tough to Tame. Fox Sports 1 will carry the race while You Tube will have the highlights
