RENO, NV (Feb. 16) – It’s been a crazy day. Was unable to attend the season opening race for MRANN but did attend the Reno Cars & Coffee meet.
To complicate things Spectrum had a major outage in my area around 9 a.m. so we lost the Internet. As of around 4 p.m. it was still down but finally came back up around 5 p.m.
Sunday, starting at 10 a.m., Reno Cars & Coffee had its second meet of the month. Location is by the Human Bean Coffee Stand that’s near the corner of Kietzke and Moana Lanes.
If anything these meets are full of contrasts and classics. Parked beside a Honda was a 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II.

The Silver Clouds were produced from 1959 until 1962. It’s a big car, listed at 42 feet long an weighing in at 4,647 lbs. The owner had a graphic that explained the car including the fact the radiator grill is made entirely by hand.

There was also American Iron on display like these two Corvettes and a Mustang.

At every meet motors are on display. They range from stock to enhanced or restored. Here are three of them not far from the Human Bean Coffee stand.
• This weekend MRANN began it’s 2025 season north of the Nightingale Exit off I-80, which is east of Fernley.

Jesse Miller, who is an 250 Expert rider took Sunday’s big bike overall while Laine Stephens, who races in the AA Class was second overall.

There were also races Saturday on short courses. The Mini Expert winner was Ryker Oliverson.

Moving down the ranks Joseph Price won the Pee 4-Stroke Class.

Nikolaj Evans was the Pee Wee 7 & over winner.
Many thanks to Tina Honea for the photos from the MRANN weeekend. The full results can be found at www.racemrann.com.
