RENO CARS & COFFEE STARTS DECEMBER ROLLING

RENO, NV (Dec. 1) — As we wave good-by to November and hello to December, Reno Cars & Coffee got the month started. The cool temperatures kept the car count on the low side but there were still a good amount that attended.

A good example of the variety of vehicles that show up for any Cars & Coffee meet.

Cars & Coffee meets always have a variety of cars and trucks. This row starts with a station wagon, an import as well as a square body Chevy truce by a modified SUV.

A pair of late model Corvettes were at the meet.

There were even three Corvettes. While one was an older front engine model there were a pair of more recent versions present

This is a really good looking 1960 era Plymouth Satellite.

Many times people will take older cars, restore and breath new life into them like a 1960’s era Plymouth Satellite.

The Plymouth can move as it has a 426 Hemi under the hood.

The Plymouth had a 426 Hemi under the hood so it has a lot of power to send it down the road.

This import apparently has new trim and a carbon fiber hood.

One of the imports has what appeared to have a carbon fiber hood as well as custom trim.

In keeping with the holiday spirit the owner of this Honda covered it with little lights.

In keeping with the holidays one owner brought his Honda to the meet. It’s covered with lights, which are attached by small pieces of black duct tape.

One late comer was this 1983 Subaru Brat.

Coming in a little late was this 1983 Subaru BRAT. It’s owned by Shaun Langis.

“I bought it at Tahoe in October,” he said.

Shaun Langis stands by the the Subaru Brat he bought in October.

The car is in great condition although he admitted it needs a radio. Something he plans to take care of soon.

He added the Brat is front wheel drive but can be switched to 4-wheel-drive with a button on the shift lever

“I might want to install a SDI drive as then it would be all-wheel drive,” he said. “But I’ll have to see about that.”

Right now he’s enjoying the car, which is in great shape as it’s been well cared for.

During the meet Ed Hughes was collecting items to be given to a charity that helps the homeless. Despite the turn out he seemed pleased with the amount that was collected.

Next Sunday Sparks Cars & Coffee will have its first meet of the month. Location is the Starbucks off Disc drive at the south end of Spanish Springs.
