Now everyone can take a break during the holidays. This is also a time when some sell parts and even bodies of cars that could be built to race.

After the New Year folks will start working on and getting their rides ready for the next season. Schedules are announced around March then soon after that Rattlesnake Raceway will echo to the sounds of racing.

A few of the European cars at the meet.

• Earlier on Saturday the Vintage Euro Cars & Coffee held its last meet for this year by the Starbucks at the Summit Mall.

A great looking Audi sedan.

The turnout was on the light side but there was even this tricked out Audi sedan. If all goes well they’ll start having meets in the spring.

Japanese cars at the meet.

While it’s for European cars some folks with Japanese cars showed up as well. And of course they were welcomed as these tend to be open events.

REPORTER’S NOTE: I want to extend my apologies to those that race Motocross. Had some warning lights go on when I went to Fallon Saturday evening.

Even though the car ran smoothly the other time the emission warning also came on I was advised not to drive it too much as it could damage the catalytic converter. So sadly I felt it wasn’t best to press my luck and had to miss the final round of this year’s BBMX series at the Sand Box.

Know there was a huge turnout for this season ending event. Hope to be back out reporting those events next season.
