RACING & CAR MEET PREVIEW: SEPT. 5 TO 8

RENO, NV (Sept.4) — Summer will officially end in a couple of weeks and the oval track season in our region is starting to wind down. The cruise and car shows are still roaring along so there is much to see and do over the next few weeks.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

RAD is having a clean up Saturday morning as they help keep our public lands clear of junk.

• I’m starting off with this as I’ve been to a few of these clean ups. Not only will Reno Area Dirt Riders (RAD) be there, but they’re usually are joined by some of the off-road groups as well as others that want to help.

Sadly many just go onto our public lands and dump things or abandon vehicles there. This causes problems for those using that area for recreation.

Here is map showing how to get to the access road for the RAD clean up.

The directions are 580 North out of Reno. Take the Stead exit but turn left. At Old Virginia turn right then look for the flags on you left that marks the dirt road to the site.

There is medical that covers visits to the ER, ambulance rides and if a person has to stay in a hospital. In addition trailers as well as tools and tools in shops can be covered with additional policies.

If Kelby isn’t available the other guys at his office will be very happy to explain what they can offer both to racers and those enjoying motorized recreation.
