  • RATTLESNAKE RACEWAY ALAN DIAS MEMORIAL

    FALLON, NV (SEPT. 14) — This weekend Rattlesnake Raceway honored the memory of long time racer Alan Dias, whose family also races. It was a full program for both days. Saturday’s show began when the field lined up on the track prior to a memorial lap to honor Dias. On the front row were three cars raced by family members. Before the parade lap, and after the national anthem played, drivers and spectators released pink balloons. Then the field, behind the Dias family cars circled the track at a slow speed.   • RAD CLEANS UP PUBLIC LAND ON PEAVINE

    RENO, NV (Sept. 7) — Reno Area Dirt Riders (RAD) held a clean up on the Peavine Summit Road Saturday morning. Something they that helps keep the public lands clear of refuse and it helps the Forest Service. It took weeks of effort between RAD president Mike Marcum and Brad Moore. They divided the labor with Moore getting the prizes and doing the promotional material. Mercum was dealing with the computer issues as well as working with the Reno City Council and Forest Service.   • DIAMOND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY LABOR DAY RACES

    SUSANVILLE, CALIF. (Sept. 1) — Diamond Mountain Speedway ended its regular season with a two-race program on Labor Day Weekend. After a full set of heats and mains on Saturday at the Sunday show, only the Mini Stocks had a heat race but the other four classes had a 6-lap dash for cash plus their mains. The Dash winners were, Jared Flower in Street Stocks, Jace Wright in IMCA Northern Sportmod, Robert Mull in IMCA Stock Cars and Jace Wright who won the IMCA Modified dash.
