SPARKS, NV (March 10) — Daylight Savings time began with Sparks Cars & Coffee having its first meet of the month. As usual variety was the theme as owners brought their cars and trucks to show and be admired.

Here a BMW Sedan is parked by a Ford 150 4X4.

One combination was a BMW sedan parked by a Ford 150 4X4. It made for quite a contrast.

Here are two sports cars. A Corvette and an Aston Martin.

Another pair, with a James Bond connection, was a Corvette parked next to an Aston Martin. One a domestic exotic while the other was an international exotic.

The V-12 power plant for the Aston Martin.

The Aston-Martin is powered by a 5.2 Liter V-12 so it probably has a lot of get-up-and-go as well as class. Actually the Corvette is no slouch when it comes to get-up-and-go.

Here is a beautifully restored 1960’s era Chevy Impala.

There are some that restore cars and put new life in an older chassis. One example was a Chevy Impala that was beautifully restored but also had some modern touches.

This motor probably gives the Impala a great spirit.

Looking into the engine compartment there is a chromed turbo-charged motor, which probably gives the car a new spirit.

A group of motorcycle riders were close by.

While these meets are most for the 4-wheel crowd there are some that ride in on motorcycles. Over to one side there were five parked together and were probably part of a ride of their own.

The Pontiac Fiero was kind of the affordable sports car of its time. Here three of them are on display

Over on another row there was a trio of Pontiac Fiero’s parked next to each other. These were the affordable sports cars of their time and each has been well kept.

The rear wing of a Subaru became a temporary cup holder.

Finally one Subaru owner found a new use for his car’s rear wing. He used as a temporary cup holder.

Next meet, on March 17, is when Reno Cars & Coffee gets together by a Human Bean Coffee stand located by the corner of Keitzke and Moana Lanes.
