RENO, NV (Dec. 20) — Here we are with Christmas next week. That means our annual journey into the Re-Run Zone will start to end but there are still car meets and practice sessions for motocross riders.
CAR MEETS:
• There are a trio of car meets this weekend.
- Thursday, once again, gets rolling at 7:30 a.m. when the Iron Mafia has it’s meet. Location is Kim’s Donuts at 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.
- There should be another meet starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Fernley. Meet is at the 76th station and it’s Friday Night Meet Fernley.
- Sparks Cars & Coffee has its second meet of the month starting at 10 a.m. Sunday. Location is by the Starbucks off Disc Drive in Sparks.
RACING (4-Wheel):
• Everyone is off until early next year.
PRACTICE (Motocross):
• When this was posted the only schedule for practice is for the Fernley Sandbox. It will be from 10 until 3 p.m. only on Saturday.
• Nothing has been posted for Riverfront MX Park or Prairie City. Suggest checking with those tracks before heading out. Their hotline is, 775-265-7223.
-MMX is going to have practice from 9 until 3 p.m. on the 23rd and 24th of December. They will also have practice on the 26th and 27th.
On New Year’s Weekend they plan to have practice on the 30th, 31st and on New Year’s Day. Their hotline is 530-419-5200.
• E Street MX Park was closed Wednesday but might have practice this weekend. Once again check with the track’s page before heading out.
RACING (National):
• Since we’re in the depth of the Re-Run Zone there isn’t anything live but there are several places to check out re-runs and news items.
- The first two are www.mavtv.com and www.youtube.com. That last one has news as well.
- Other sites, you tube is the only free one, are www.lowbudget.tv, www.fanschoice.tv, www.dirtvision.com, www.speedshifttv.com and www.motortrendondemand.com.
• On cable one can also check with Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, CBS Sports Network.
