• Saturday is going to be a busy day for car fans, and some motorcycle riders. Things get going at Moto-Source located at 3180 Mill Street, just east of Terminal Way.

Starting a 10 a.m. they are having a holiday open house. This full service shop has a show room that has about anything a rider could use or would like Santa to bring them.

Fallon Cars & Coffee has its third weekend of the month meet. This time it won’t start until noon.

• To the east, from noon until 3 p.m. Fallon Cars & Coffee has its third weekend of the month meet. Due to the cold mornings the time has been changed and the location is the Alley Bar located at 1555 S. Taylor Street. There will be hot coffee and donuts as well as hot coco, just be sure to dress warm.

• Saturday evening has two clubs staging their own parade of lights.

PRACTICE & RACING (motorcycles):

• Currently Fernley 95A Motorsport Complex has a tentative schedule of 10 to 3 on Sunday for the Motocross track. With Saturday still undecided it’s best to contact them through their Face Book page.

Riverfront and Prairie City will be busy this weekend. Photo courtesy – REP Racing MX.

• Riverfront MX has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Sunday. Prairie City has open practice Saturday from 9 until 2 but the day is a memorial ride for Donny Tillery. The proceeds will benefit his family. Then Sunday, from 9 until 2 is open practice.

By this weekend E Street will have a new track layout. Photo courtesy – E Street MX Park.

• E Street is reconfiguring their track but will have open practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Between the postponed round of the Triple Crown series, practice sessions and a ride day the weekend is going to be very busy for MMX Racing.

• MMX has a different weekend this time. Due to the weather the final rounds of the Triple Crown Series was rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday and will probably be run on the main track.

There will be practice Saturday from 9 until 2 on the Sand and Kid tracks. Same times on Sunday but the vintage track will be used for an OSMX Ride Day. So it’s going to be a very busy two days for this track.

RACING (4-Wheel):

• Now we dive back into the Re-Run Zone. One place to see re-caps of races one might have missed is on www.youtube.com.

Another place to see a variety of motorsports is on www.mavtv.com. Saturday gets going at 1 p.m. with Endurocross and AV Pro Off Road racing. Then, starting at noon they have 4-hours of Monster Truck events.

  • On Sunday if one missed Hangtown the networks has 4 hours of shows from that Pro Motocross Championship event. Then they follow it up with 4-hours of Pro Motocross from Thunder Valley.

• Over on www.floracing.com their schedule is a bit light and this weekend they have show two events from the All Finish Concrete Snowcross Nationals. Both broadcasts begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

That’s it for this weekend so if possible get out to one of the car meets or bundle up and check our the car parades. In both cars are decorated with lights and other things.
